* So far I have already been at the doctors office in the waiting area for just over 30 minutes? What the hell is the point of an appointment if you have to sit around for so long - flippin' annoying. Anyway, more on the visit later, should I ever actually get in <smirk>.
** One hour later and I am now in the room, aka the second waiting area, waiting for the doctor to come in. I wonder how long we will be in this area. Good thing I did not arrive super early to my appointment today!
*** Cool, the doctor was in within 10 minutes or so and checked out my throat - unfortunately using many tongue depressors -- have I never mentioned that I have an oddity with those? It even has an actual name if you look up the phobia - it's called "xylophobia" although I have no problem with trees and such so I guess my case is only mild. Although just thinking about it again is giving me the chills and causing me to put my tongue tightly to the roof of my mouth - ahh! At least the second one he used was slightly flavored (it did not help me from feeling the nails on a chalkboard effect btw). I think Cicely enjoyed watching me squirm in the exam chair, can you blame her?
Anyway, enough about my quirks as that could easily fill up several days worth of entries. The doctor took a look at my voice box, throat and related - made me say some Aaaaa's and E'eeee's and in his professional opinion everything looked good / normal as it should. I do have a slight amount of swelling down my throat a little way that is most likely caused by my stomach valve being a little loose - pretty common I guess.
No big deal and I have the option to take a medication to reduce it long term. Pretty basic medication that is safe to use long term which is good if I decide to go that route! All-in-all a good appointment and I am happy with the information and outcome. Thank you for your time and teaching me a thing or two about how all those parts work doc!

Quickie
I need to mention that I am a little pissed off at the latest update of the Blogger application for iOS. I just noticed today that you cannot turn on the microphone key on the keyboard and speak verbally enter a post. Really guys and gals developing this, why the hell would you turn that feature off? Turn it back on, my thumbs and I are begging you!
I will try a few things later today to verify that it is not something on my end but I have no idea what that would be. Works fine in every other application. Come on Google, you were always so cutting edge don't disappoint me now!
Ok after a reboot of my phone and no luck I quit the application, reopened and whatta you know - all good "insert happy faces". Sorry Google / Blogger I spoke too soon and threw you under the bus.
Oggy
So as expected Oggy was happy to see us yesterday and even happier to go over and see his uncle Nemo after daycare. By the time we made it home, had some dinner and were watching a little TV he was fast asleep. Dreaming, chattering and running in his sleep. They said he had a lot of fun at daycare, hung out with the other dogs and I think he actually did which is great.
He did manage to wake Cicely up around 4 AM hacking a little bit with an upset belly but I think it was from all if yesterday's excitement.not to mention he drank a ton of water after which tells me he did not drink much, if any, at daycare. He has always been weird about sharing his water bowl - I can't blame him.
Cube Life
Today we have an all studios, global all-hands meeting to discuss some things on the agenda and in the news of the company. The will also be giving out awards for those that received them in our innovation week for this year. I am not a fan of meetings but this should be a good one to see peeps get their awards and find out what's up with the place outside of our studio.
Force Quit
That is pretty much the happenings for this day. I am really happy to have the first doctor appointment of many already behind me. For some reason last year I scheduled all of my checkups right around the same time - between June and July. I have no idea what I was thinking!
