12 Years

Today marks my 12th year working at my current company! Wow did that time seem to fly by like nothing flat. Working at my previous company I had a long stay as well but not this long, crazy!

There have been more ups and downs, changes, moves, opportunities, and every other keyword you can think of over the years and I am still standing tall and strong. I think I have managed to adapt very well to the ever changing gaming industry while keeping a positive head on my shoulders the majority of the time anyway.

I would love to say that I am going to now comfortably retire but that is not in the cards, "yet". So I plan to take it day-by-day as I have in the past and see what the next cluster of years!

Los Angeles Trip

I was asked to head down to Los Angeles next week for a couple days to watch the live finale of American Idol because I was one of the developers on the first game created for them and Fremantle media.

While the game was a lot of fun and a challenge to develop I am not a fan of the show itself. So I decided to opt out on the trip and let someone that will appreciate it more than me go down.

If both Cicely and I could have went then I may have gone just to get away and possibly sneak a trip to downtown LA while we were there.

Weather

Still raining all night and a ton of clouds are creeping over the mountains this morning. The weather guessers say it will end today but it's looking as though we may have a little more on the menu. Usually it's fairly green but dry. Because of all the rain the valley looks almost "thick" and lush! It's nice what a few rainy days can do for a desert.

Dry Out

Alright, as always it's time to refocus my attention and efforts back on my day. Meetings are on the menu at the start and end of the day (boo!) but it's all part of it. At least it's the middle of the week and things are still going great - what more could I ask for?

Photo: Sign that always makes me laugh to myself at one if the local gas stations. C'mon peeps a cellphone will not make bad things happen while dispensing fuel.
