Running Around
Heading over to moms this morning to meet up with Kelly so we can spend a little time with mom and see how she is doing. I will admit that I am a little bit nervous because I have not seen her in several weeks so I am nervous.
Sounds strange I am sure, but anyone that may be going through a situation having a parent going through dementia problems it's super scary and hard to watch them go through it. No matter it's my mom and part of the journey as I hope someone will take care of me if I ever need care and attention one of these days down the road.
**Update: Mom actually looked pretty darn good today, I was surprised and very happy to be honest. It was really good to see her for an hour and I think she was really happy to see us as well. Oggy even got to visit his buddy Nemo the entire time which made both of them very happy as well.
To me this made for a really nice day all around and I hope that it did for mom as well. We love you very much!
Noodle Cafe
Stopped by the Noodle Cafe Vietnamese restaurant after Leaving moms house because Cicely and I wanted to get some drinks. I wanted to try one of the cherry slushy drinks that has these "cherry poppers" in it kinda like boba tea pearls. Cizzle wanted to get one of her milk teas.
I just hope that this time I actually get what I order because the last time I was made some sort of weird ass ice cream thing that was pretty nasty. I am still confident it was not what I had asked for. The menu description described something completely different - live and learn I guess.
Pops
Gotta stop by my pops house today on the way back from moms and try not to fuck up my lumbar again, especially since it is already pretty flippin' sore from working in the garage yesterday and I still have more to do today
The reason for the stop is because he has this big ass wood plainer that he needs help getting from the garage to the shed. For such a small little tool I think it weighs about 150 pounds. Does not sound like much but it's a awkward one. Better than him trying to do it himself though, that's for sure - he just finished healing up his 2 broken wrists a few weeks back.
Garage, Garage, Garage
Once we get back home it will be time to jump back into the garage and get more stuff done. As it sits right now we have so much crap in the way we can't even get from one side of the garage to the other to throw away the trash.
Little by little it will come together though, I just have to keep reminding myself of that and not feel overwhelmed, stressed or frustrated for no good reason.
Rest Awhile
Alright just like driving in traffic with lots of red lights you drive awhile and rest awhile. For today's post I have come to a red light and am going to rest it.
