Messin' Round

Outta bed and doing stuff today as planned, but not without having a killer homemade breakfast burrito and veggies on the side courtesy of Cicely. I really dig having breakfast on the weekends, heck a homemade breakfast any day is awesome for that matter. Plus the house smells like cooked bacon for the majority of the remainder of the day which is a huge bonus. Although I will admit that it does tend to make me hungry for more.

Stop; Hobby Time

Even though I have been feeling overwhelmed with all of the projects I need to get done I did manage to unbox my new short course micro truck and take it for a spin in the back yard - mostly on the patio since grass is really hard on the smaller brushless motors. It's pretty dam fast and a lot of fun to drive, I just wish I had a second battery to use. Actually I do, and it's a lipo instead of the NIMH that it comes with so it will run even faster.

Problem is that the incorrect charger adapter leads were sent to me so I am not able to charge the battery - dammit! Because it takes an hour for the charge it's not something I can do too many times today - I am stoked I managed to get one run in though! As soon as the projects in the garage and shed start to wrap up I should have a lot more time, and not have as much procrastination to use.

Racing

With that it is time for me to get some more work done and keep poking away at all of my projects. The rain was coming down pretty good early this morning and I felt bad for the guys racing today out at the track. Luckily it was pretty much over and done by 8 or 9 this morning so I am sure it dried out for them and they will be able to get a good day of racing in.

Usually I would be watching a bunch of racing today as well. Supercross and NASCAR but I am opting to not sit down and do it. I need to start cutting back on it, well at least the NASCAR races for a few weeks so I can get more done. If I end up putting a 36" TV out in the garage like I was considering then I may be able to more easily watch the races while outside working and doing things. It's just super hard for me to sit idle for that many hours watching TV. I have a feeling I will regret it and miss some awesome bar-to-bar and fender-to-fender racing but there is always a little give and take with everything right.

Otherwise

It has been a really nice Sunday - for a Sunday anyway (not my favorite day of the week by any means). Planning to try and get in about 1/2 hour +/- of bass practice and possibly an episode of Eureka if we can find the extra time - Cicely is super busy as well. She has a shop over in west Reno that would like a bunch of her items so she needs to do pricing and stuff and get it delivered to them today. She was supposed to yesterday but was not up to it, cant blame her. She played her ass off on Friday on the volleyball court! Good news is that both of her wrists and forearms are feeling much better today, although still sore, they are not as beat up and swollen looking.

Photo: My new Losi short course truck that I ordered last week.Only real issue with it is that it is numbered as #3 and everyone knows that I only run #84! No worries, I will live with it :D
