Early In, Early Out

Give yourself a pat in the back if today is your Friday, you made it another week and the weekend is just around the corner - good job!

Work

So today we head in early for our weekly training in the new game engine we will be using at my company. The training is cool for a couple of reasons. First I love to learn new "stuff", especially if its technology related. Second, it gets us into the office about 2 hours earlier which means we can escape about 2 hours earlier than usual!

I am looking forward to this day in a big way because of what's ahead - prolly sounds strange to most, but it's what I enjoy doing.

Lunch

Today at lunch I am going to do something I rarely do - leave the office. My friend / coworker invited me to go with him for what will essentially be the maiden flight of his newest helicopter. Should be really cool to see and at the same time get my juices going to practice flying more.

I have a cool receiver and this wireless adapter showing up today or tomorrow for my simulator which will be really sweet. No more 12 foot USB cable stretched across the floor, tangled each time and kinda annoying to be honest. Yea I know, first world problems.

People

Just a quick blurb, almost a rant even. I want to get it off my chest once again how fake people are at the workplace. How they join their little clicks and although you have worked with or known them for 5, 10, 15 or more years its as though they have never known you when they are in their "click".

Really I guess my shirt version would be to say "hey fuck you, I see right through your transparent mind, body and soul and anyone that does not is probably as transparent as you".

So there, I feel better now don't you? If you find yourself in a semi-opaque mode in life then fill in the gaps peeps! It's a trait that makes you less cool to anyone and everyone in the long run.

Bike Restore

Finally supposed to check out my friends Redline BMX bike that he restored. His car was in the shop so he was unable to bring it in on Monday as he planned to.

No worried, should get to check it out today, maybe I can snap a quick photo of it as well. Although my biggest fear is that it's going to inspire me to try to do a restoration on an old GT, Diamondback, Haro or something like that. Either way, cool stuff!

Clock Out

Time to get back to it and get this Friday going once again. I am looking forward to the nice weekend and have high hopes and plans to work on the garage and shed projects. Cheers to that I say!

Have a great Friday and weekend!

Photo: Cool shot on the way to work of 5 heli's flying by. Although I will admit it was a bit of a Red Dawn "oh shxt, are we under attack?" moment!
