Busy Monday

So the day started out full speed ahead this week. I had to take the car in for its first service appointment and have a few other things looked at as well as the usual tire rotation, topping off of fluids, doing an service updates to the computer(s) and so on.

Cicely had a morning meeting that she needed to get to and we were running late already. She still had to come pick me up at the dealership, drop off Zoey and get us both to work in time. We mostly made it but she did miss part of her first meeting unfortunately so I felt really bad.

Next we still needed lunch but Cicely had an appointment right around that time. I did not have a car and did not feel like having lunch at the cafeteria at work so the only choice was to go with her to her appointment and we would stop at Starbucks and get 'something' for food. Eat quickly and then rush down to her appointment so we could then wait around for an hour to be seen.

This is pretty much exactly what happened, we waited for probably 35 minutes before we got in, once in the entire visit was relatively fast as it usually is and we were on our way once again. I had received a message while we were out though that my car was finished and that I could pick it up so we decided to do that on the way back and get it out of the way, problem was - Cicely had another important meeting at 3:30 PM that we were already going to barely get back in time for.

She dropped me off to get my car, rushed back to work and thankfully was only a little late for the meeting. It would have really sucked to miss another one entirely, both the same day and both because of my car needing to be dropped off for service or picked up.

Now the end of the day the next portion of the rush begins. We need to get home as soon as we can, I actually planned to leave early but it did not work out because I had an important meeting right at the end of the day I could not miss. So once out it's me rushing home so I can start on the lawn, front and back, because I did not have time to do it over the weekend.

Once done, it's haircut time because once again we did not have the time to do it over the weekend and once we did it was already pushing 11:00PM Sunday night so we were not about to start it then. We will do it tonight, though Cicely has to feed Zoey and probably give her a bath as well as all the other stuff that needs to be done on weeknights. She needs her time to rest as well so if I can get the lawn done quick enough I will then be able to help her out and hopefully give her some of her evening back.

Otherwise that is about it for the day. The rest of the week is actually a little bit crazy as well depending on the day. I might just take off one day the middle of the week and get a bunch of things done so that I can check them off my plate once and for all. We will see how tomorrow pans out and go from there. At least on the plus side, we are getting things taken care of.
