Rain, Rain, Rain

We were supposed to have thunderstorms, rain, flash flooding and all thing related according to the weather guessers report yesterday. As mentioned in that entry, they were completely wrong and the day was overall really nice. It was warm but not hot, calm most of the day with almost no wind until much later in the evening.

Speaking of evening, that is when the rain finally started coming down. It was very little though and nothing like what was predicted. Into the night it was light sprinkles off and on, nothing to speak of other than a nice watering for the lawn that I did not have to pay for.

Around 10:00 PM the rain started picking up a little more and was constantly falling based on the tapping on the roof, lattice and windows. Still nothing near what was guessed. As of this morning it's doing more of the same, raining off and on, sometimes much harder than other times though letting up enough to almost dry out before the next wave of rain clouds come into the valley and appear overhead.

Not really sure if today will bring more of the same or not. From the looks of it, that will in fact be the scene looking out the window at work. Days like this should be an automatic day off simply because of the fact that it makes for great napping and movie watching time! Neither of which I will be doing today.

Human Race

So this morning I watched and then re-posted this video on Facebook of these two white trash women fighting in a WalMart store. Really for no good reason other than one woman was defending a comment made by the other women to a store employee (racial comment). While that is all well and good, the fight itself was completely unnecessary.

What's more is that the lady had her kid with her and was provoking him to help her punch and kick the other lady as well as hit her in the head with shampoo bottles and related that he was pulling from the shelf of the isle they were wrasslin in.

One part of me was embarrassed for watching it, both parts even because yes it's a two part video. Another part of me was laughing inside at the ignorance of them both and the poor parenting skills the one was demonstrating a lack of. Still I could not resist and had to share it with friends to let them see the stupidity.

Many were surprised and pissed off that the people watching did not help or try to break it up. That was my first thought as well. From what others were saying is that anymore it's best to not get involved or you may become part of a lawsuit or worse.

There are statistics, I've read, that show more police officers for example are injured or worse when simply trying to break up a scuffle or brawl. I need to remember that in the future I guess, especially because as I mentioned, my first instinct was to break them up.

Alrighty Then

I am going to get back into this day now, enjoy the sound of the rain outside even though I'm not in bed napping or on the couch watching movies with my girls. I can still enjoy it and the calming effect that it has on everything in nature. Then the burst of chatter and activities when the rain stops and all the animals come back out to do their thing.

  • if red > swipe badge > blinking LED > red > then, you don't have permission
  • if red > swipe badge > blinking LED > green > then, you have access
