Ta Ta Tuesday

Yea today I am captain obvious by pointing out that it is in fact Tuesday. In case you were wondering that does mean that yesterday was Monday and tomorrow is Wednesday. Although for me today is Friday and Thursday is both Monday and Friday all over again. WTF am I talking about you ask? Well if you have not stopped reading this by now because of boredom, spelling errors or that you just don't care. More on why in a minute don't worry.

Mid-Year

As of today I am happy to be able to say that I have 80% of my teams performance reviews completed. Today I will get the final ones wrapped up and put a now on that until the end of the year when it's time to rip off the band aid and do them for year end.

All-in-all I think they are going really good. I have been trying to work each one in the manner that best suits the individual as far as location, conversation and so on while maintaining the same approximate length of each to be fair to each person and respect their time.

I will honestly say that it has been much more of a difficult process than I anticipated it would be although I am learning tons from it. I do think that my UNR classes have helped to give me not only some additional tools but confidence as well to do them. It's nice to know that the thousands of dollars I am putting out for school is working.

School

Speaking of school. The reason I have so many odd Mondays and Fridays in the first paragraph of nonsense is because this is a busy school week.

Starting tomorrow I have class all day and then another on Friday. Because of this it really throws all of my days into quite the whirlwind of crazy! I have to try to get 5 days worth of work done in just shy of 3 days. The reason I don't say 3 full days is because rarely if ever do I get more than an hour or 2 with zero interruptions. It's OK and part of the job, but needs to be accounted for.

Bike Stuff

So this week I plan to put in the order for my Kuat bike rack. I have tried to buy it locally but none of the dealers have them and would require a week or more to get it. Why would I do that when I can have it shipped to my door for less money and in only 2 days or so?

I do have one more place to call today once they open shop at 10:00 AM. If they don't have them then I will go elsewhere for it, that being online.

Speaking of bikes though - mine has yet to come in and it's pretty annoying to be perfectly honest. My original plan was to spend a bunch of money at the shop that I bought it from when I picked it up but as of now I may go elsewhere for my accessories. Even if it's not their fault that it has not come in yet, it would take them seconds to give me an email or phone all heads-up on the status.

As much as I hate to say it, if I don't have the bike in really soon it may be time to get my money back and go to another bike shop - something I really would rather not do to be honest. More on this as it develops.

**Update: I am stoked to report that the local shop that we called this morning does in fact have the bike rack that I am looking for and only a small amount of money more. Totally worth it to not only have to not ship it but also to support a local company as I like to do when they support those of us in various sports and hobbies.

Kiddo

I think that will do it for today. Kiddo did great at daycare yesterday but was SUPER fussy and gassy last night. I think that it's because of this other formula so we will see. Otherwise she is doing great so let's see how the rest of the week goes! I bet she continues to do awesome! We are so proud of her :).

Photo: The crazy stuff, well not really but over all it truly is crazy the amount of warning labels, banned materials and things in general like lead for example that are not allowed in places like California. One of the worst states in my opinion to be setting the standard for this kind of crap.
