Hot Chocolate

No the weather has not made a sudden turn for the worse again and that is why I am talking about hot chocolate. It's actually quite the opposite, warm and getting much hotter by the day although the annoying wind is still blowing like crazy by the early afternoon everyday.

Chocolate

The story behind the chocolate is funny, slightly anti climatic but funny none-the-less depending on how you look at it. Cicely and Zoey were at the store picking up a few things when Cicely went past the isle that was setup specifically for everyone heading out to go camping and related over the Memorial Day weekend - there were these MASSIVE marshmallows that grabbed her attention and made her think of nothing more than S'mores.

She grabbed a bag of the marshmallows and then over to the isle with the graham crackers and last to the candy isle to pick up some chocolate bars. When she got up to the cash register she started taking items out and putting them up to be scanned when she realized she only had one chocolate bar. That is weird, "I know that I grabbed 2" she thought. Rather than worry about it she ran over, grabbed another, paid and headed home.

The next day she was unloading Zoey at daycare from her car seat when something was sticking up out of the side of her head rest, Cicely reached down and pulled it out and whatta you know - it was the missing chocolate bar! I guess Zoey had somehow knocked it into the side of her car seat and it sat there for 2 days, and why it looks wrinkly in the photo below. It went through a couple heat cycles of baby heat, car head and sun.

So yea, I am not sure if I should laugh or be concerned that at only just under 3 months of age my daughter is already managing to steal candy from the store, albeit entirely accidental to her as she just bumped it somehow. No matter I had to document this so I would be able to reflect back to it one day and show her the crazy things she had done as a newborn, toddler and so on.

Parenthood begins and in full force and it's just as much fun and interesting as I had hoped that it would be which is awesome. I am sure this is only the beginning of many more experiences and I look forward to learning how to deal with them all and help her grow into a responsible adult.
