School

On the menu for today is "Working With The Problem Employee". Well, not the menu per-say but what class I will be attending. I can say one thing for sure is that I could have used this class many months ago when I was dealing with exactly this situation. I am sure it will come up again and I will have the opportunity to use the skill learned today but in all honestly I would rather it become a tool I have in the arsenal but never have to use.

Overall I think it will be another good day at school and worth the time away from work. Once this month is over I should have nearly 11 classes under my belt and can then focus on the home stretch in the months of June and July. My fear is that a couple of the classes I have missed will not be offered until much later in the year and I will not be able to get both of my programs done until the first part of 2015. That is OK as well, so long as I get them done of course - but sooner would be better! I am getting to the point lately that I don't know which way is up some days!

It's my own doing of course as I was the one who decided it would be a great idea to take a promotion, become a dad, go back to school for not one but two programs as well as fit in all of the other stuff that makes up our day-to-day lives. Gluten for punishment or over-achiever? I am not sure some days which of those fit me better. I am hoping neither and more-so that it is seen as someone who cares about the future and is trying to do the best he can while he can.

Nicer Out

So it's finally starting to get nice outside once again. Yesterday it was cold enough that I had to wear jeans to work and a sweatshirt to stay toasty. It rained most of the night Monday night and off and on on Tuesday. Only sprinkles when it did on Tuesday but enough to make it feel that much colder and dreary outside. I think the high for the day was only in the 50's. Today we are on the rebound and it should be closer to the mid 60's then get back into the 70's and 80's by the weekend. Sounds good to me, I am simply not looking forward to the days of 90's and 100+ temperatures. Not fun!

MTB

So I am STOKED to report that I was able to get the Kuat NV bike rack that I was looking for. There just happened to be a bike shop out by my work that carries them and had exactly the one that I wanted in stock. I stopped by there after work and picked it up. The bike shop is so awesome that they were even building it for me, although I had them box it back up because I did not have the time to wait for them to do so. I felt bad, but they understood my situation and that I was on a bit of a tight schedule to get kiddo home.

Now all that I am in need of is the dam bike to come in. Cicely called the bike shop yesterday and they said it will be in this week, today or tomorrow and then they have to build it. I dunno, I am getting pretty irritated about the whole thing to be perfectly honest. Had I known sooner I would have probably just went over to the shop that I was at yesterday getting the Kuat rack and bought a GIANT brand from them and been done with it. While I dig the Santa Cruz that I am getting, the waiting part is really driving me nuts because I am not getting any feedback from the shop. Maybe that is the usual way they conduct business in the bike shop world, I dunno, but not what I am used to.

No matter it will all be in the past at some point and it's not like it's life or death, I mean its just a bike but I want it to me in my sweaty hands sooner than later - especially since it's 100% paid in full. Next I have to decide if I want to spend more money with them or not when I pick it up. I like a lot of their equipment but I may just get a few things and then shop around for the rest out of principle.

All Is Good

That does it for today, I need to wrap this up and get on with the day. Lot's to do and learn in a short amount of time. Oh, Zoey did awesome at daycare again yesterday and did not have any issues once we were home like she did the first night. Hopefully this means that she is getting use to the routine even if only after 2 days. I know the fuzzy kid, Oggy is actually in better spirits with us all out of the house throughout the day. So he too is back on a nice schedule. Good times!

Photo: On the way into school on such a nice spring day, bummer, but better than working I guess.
