Three Strikes

Wow, yesterday the summer weather shot in like a bullet. It average about 90° all day from around 10 AM. That is a huge change from when it was only in the 60s or 70s the previous weeks. I will admit that it felt nice after being in a cold cube and office all day long. Although just walking from the building to the car you were roasting, ready to turn on the car's AC.

Aces High

Today my entire game studio is going to the Aces baseball game here in Reno. It's kind of our semi-annual get together and hang out with the rest of the studio day, talk to some people you would not otherwise talk to on a daily basis and just have a good time. They will supply food, beer, sunscreen and that sort of thing so it should be a pretty good day.

We actually decided not to go to the event because my current game teams not going. This means that I will be even further behind should I had decided to go. Sure I could make it up but on the other hand if I stay and work I will actually be ahead of the game. This is exactly what I want because next Monday we decided to take a day off "just because".

Swing And A Miss

Ok short post today - trying to get 'er done the best that I can while the rest of the studio is away at the ballpark. So far though nothing on my pc seems to want to follow suit. One of my main compression applications will not update because of some addition to the corporate firewall. When I try to put in a request to have the situation looked into / resolved I find that the utility we need / use to put in a ticket is also broken. Ack - talk about up the creek without a paddle. But hey, on the bright side I'm thinking that the day will improve slowly but surely if I just keep at it.

Photo: Another really good gluten free beer we picked up last night. Deals out a pretty smooth buzz as well.
