Elimination Diet
So as I mentioned yesterday, we are finished with the elimination portion of our diet now and are adding things that we eliminated back in, each with their own week. This week we are adding sugar back in and it's actually a little tough. Mostly because we don't generally use a lot of sugar anyhow and for the past 21 days keeping sugar out of our breads, sauces, etc - pretty much everything, makes things now taste almost fake and we are preferring more of a natural unsweetened flavor.
So far it has proved to be worthwhile and a great test to see if we could both stick with it and we did. Plus we weren't even trying to lose weight and we both managed to shed some pounds. Cicely lost 8 pounds and I lost around 10 to 12 pounds. The reason my loss is an "about" is because we used 2 different scales for my start weight and my end weight. Either way, it's a cool byproduct of the change in eating habits.
In Other News
Not a whole lot else to rabble about today. Just the usual stuff - busy at work, mowing both of the lawns tonight so long as the weather holds out. So far it looks like it will and will only be a little windy unlike the crazy weather we had yesterday afternoon and into the evening.
Actually looking forward to the end of the next few weeks so things can get back to normal. Too many doctor checkups and blood tests in my near future. But like all things they will pass. Until tomorrow, give Tuesday hell - I'm gonna!
