So first thing this fine Sunday morning Oggy decided that I had more than enough sleep and began to paw at me, lick my face, make little gurgling mumbling sounds that would have been cute at any time other than 6:00 AM on a Sunday morning.
So after trying to put him off for a half hour or so I gave in, got up and fed him his chicken and pumpkin breakfast. He was happy, belly full and I was wide awake so it was time for coffee and grabbing the iPad to see what is going on in the world.
Cavin'
Decided today that I want to go ahead and pull the trigger on the rest of the Craftsman cabinets for the garage. It is somehow turning into a bit of a man cave without really trying. Originally I was going to do 5 two door cabinets across the front of the garage but decided that in between those cabinets would be an excellent spot for the spare 32" flat screen LCD TV that has been siting in its unopened box on the garage floor for almost a year.
Unfortunately I will not be able to fully complete the project this weekend. Sears only had 1 of the cabinets in stock so the others will not be at the warehouse until later this week, Thursday most likely. Then because of the addition if the TV I will now need to find the type of mount that I want - one that extends, swivels and rotates and is not selling for some stupid crazy price like most of them are at the local shops.
It's kinda funny, but not, that the mounts at Beat Buy, Home Depot and related range from $149 to $249 and up. The exact same mount, even some that are much better are around $60 online and shipped for free! So I may have to only build the 1 cabinet today, possibly set up the wall track and generally prepare things for when the other stuff is delivered. Prolly a good thing anyway since my back is sore today.
Weather
Super hot and dry again today as expected. The only real benefit is that there appear to be some fluffy and heavy looking clouds around us that could be full of moisture. A cool rain storm would be a nice touch to the afternoon - not to mention the lawn will love it!
Elimination Diet
So today marks the last day, day 21 of the elimination portion of our Virgin Diet. It has been pretty easy actually, well except yesterday because the ONLY thing I have been craving is brownies and guess what they had at the BBQ? If you guess gluten free brownies with white chocolate chips sprinkled on top then you get a gold star. Man I wanted one so friggin' bad. Watching everyone drink beer was tough too but the brownies and birthday cake were painful.
Anyway, starting tomorrow we will decide what to add back in first - most likely our first thing is going to be sugar. I like a little sweet added to my coffee and creamer, otherwise most sugar filled stuff has not been that big of a deal. I have to do some blood work this week so it will be interesting to see how the results end up. Luckily it's before Saturday because we are meeting my dad and step-mom at a steakhouse for my dads birthday.
Melted
Otherwise just an average Sunday for us. The BBQ yesterday at Cicely's parents house was great.
We don't get to see everyone very often so that was cool. Heck even one of Cicely's aunts and uncles came in from Hawaii for the BBQ and to celebrate her grandmas 65th birthday.
