Green Means Go

Not only is it the Queens birthday today (Queen of NZ that-is) but its also time to break the seal on a fresh new work week. This week should prove to be a busy one once again. Filled with training, meetings and even an interview first thing this morning that I have to do for another potential developer on our team. I have my reserves about this candidate just like I did with Fridays, let's hope that I am wrong again and we find another perfect fit!

Diet

Well we are in the home stretch of our food elimination diet, this is the final week of the 21 days and honestly it has not been that hard at all. Again mostly because of all the energy that Cizzle has put into it.

Once we are done we then start to add things back in one week at a time to try and determine what our systems have a hard time with. The only tough part for me has been the lack of a little sweetener in my morning coffee. Well and this crazy craving for brownies - I love brownies (without nuts please) but never really have had a gnarly craving for them. It's always interesting what your mind does to you when it's told "no".

Toy Time

I was able to fly my heli yesterday afternoon while Cicely was taking Oggy to the groomer to get his nails done. It was kinda windy so it was not very easy but practice none-the-less. Afterward I picked up my bass, grabbed a gluten free Fox Barrel pear beer and made some noise.

Felt great to work on learning a new riff from a cool Metallica song titled "Astronomy". The riff is a little tough for me because of the way it uses some chords and strumming patterns I am not use to doing. Still a lot of fun and I can't wait to work on it some more.

I did hook up my new Bluetooth based stomp-box Saturday afternoon and am happy with it. Once again it has a lot of the same effects that most do so this will probably be the last one I pick-up unless some bass specific one comes out. The money I spent could have went toward more helicopter goodies. Although I did order some of those yesterday too.

I ordered a lanyard to help when flying to hold the transmitter, a lipo battery safety box, 2 more batteries, a bunch of orange aluminum anodized bling for my transmitter and so on - fun stuff!

Red Means Stop

That's all I have for today. Should be a nice week with no appointments to be at, a co-worker coming into town for the week from Colorado to do some training and the other usual stuff. Sounds good to me, busy crazy weeks help the time fly by - but on the downside they make the time fly by - and it's easy to miss the good stuff on the sides.

Happy Monday, I hope it's a great week for you as well. I plan to do my best to make it a positive one.

Photo: I generally am not a crazy quote pusher like many on FB with their "found inspirations" but this one is so friggin' true on so many levels I had to use it for today's photo. Mostly as a reminder to myself, as I have surely put something off because it was too time consuming or felt like it was taking forever to get somewhere with it.
