Family BBQ

So we actually were let out a little early yesterday from work which was pretty cool of them to do. Cicely and I actually stayed about 2 hours later though so I could tie up a few loose ends so I don't have to walk into a storm on Tuesday. Busy couple of weeks up ahead between work and stuff outside of work so I am looking forward to it being behind me.

BBQ

This morning we are heading out to Cicely's parents house for a couple of hours. He step-mom is having a BBQ to both celebrate her moms 65th birthday but to also get the majority of her big family together for a day.

Should be a good time with good food - too bad we can only eat certain kinds of it since most will contain ingredients we are not allowed to have while on this elimination diet.

No matter it will still be cool to see everyone since we have not be out to their house in a few months which is pretty odd to be honest. Normally we are either out there or meeting somewhere for something at least once a month or so most years. So yea, it will be nice.

NMoA

We decided that if time permits we are going to try and make a trip downtown to the museum of art for their annual art street event. Cicely was considering doing it and to be honest I am surprised that she didn't. When I asked her she said that she was afraid that she would be double booking herself and it would be a bad idea.

Oh well at least if we make it down there she can get an idea if it's something she would like to do next year based on the vibe. Reno events can be hit or miss depending on the time of year and the crowd that shows up. She knows a few venders participating so that will give her a good idea if it's worth it as well.

Garage

This morning I spent some time researching Craftsman cabinets for the garage and I think I am going to add them to my to-do list before I paint. In the back if my mind it's possibly because I don't wanna paint yet, but in reality it's because I want to have additional storage out there.

Calculations tell me that I can get 5 hung up if they are 28" wide and still have it look nice over the 2 new work benches. If I decide to go that route I think that I will do like I did in the shed and use the wall track for easier hanging and future removal. More on that later, right now the local Sears only has 2 in stock so I would need to order the other 3 before they take them off the sale price.

Helicopter

I am hoping that the wind dies down this afternoon by the time we get home so I can "fly" for 4 to 6 packs! If not I will get on the simulator and practice my hovering and other newB flying skills that need work.

I have this urge to get really good at it because not only is it a lot of fun but because I want to be able to fly the larger helicopters one day. more importantly fly them without breaking the bank buying replacement parts from crashing.

Speaking of parts, I ordered some more stuff last night from a site I normally don't use because its out of warehouses all over the globe that goes by the name of Hobby King. But when they have the same $15 item for $3 it's hard to pass up. Too bad it takes them several weeks to get the stuff to you. Luckily the order contained nothing I need ASAP, otherwise I would have gone to my usual shop just over the mountain in California.

Fires Out

Alright, I think I am going to take this opportunity to call this post done. Really nice day out, just HOT and DRY so my butt is trying to remain in the AC zones as much as possible!

Photo: Yep still in the middle of a heatwave it seems.
