Attorney

Up earlier than usual today so we can get into the office and make it out to appointments, get to meetings and all that sort of "fun" for the middle of the work week. Tomorrow will be more of the same, but starts out with a needle in the arm - yippee!

Attorney Appointment

Today my sister Kelly, Cicely and I are going down to the attorneys office to find out what legal rights we have or can obtain to enhance moms well being. She is desperately in need if a 24 hour care facility but there is so much red tape if you are not either very well off or extremely poor. If you fall in the middle with a small 401k or IRA you are kinda screwed until you get rid of the majority of your assets.

That is what we have managed to find out so far anyway. Today we hope to get additional information and see if there are other options or solutions. If she could have someone reminding her of things like eating meals and some casual conversations it would be great for her mind, body and soul.

Today is our day to stop over and check in on her so we will take her some dinner and sit and chat with her for awhile. We like it because we are pretty sure that she does as well. If not that is ok, it's mom so we like to visit.

**Update: Did not  get a lot out of the $250 30 minute visit to be perfectly honest but it did at least verify a few things we were already aware of and gave us a few clues towards the steps to take next. Ton of work ahead of us I think. Not to mention the whole situation stinks.

Head In The Clouds

I have this thing about finding shapes in cloud formations. I could not help but to see my Chihuahua, Oggy running in one that I took over the weekend before the big storm rolled into the Valley. Although it kinda looks like Falcor from Never Ending Story as well.

Who knows maybe I will post more of them in the future, explaining what I see in the. It's always interesting to get others perspective. Most of the time I just get "a look" like I am crazy, or they tell me "umm, they look like Clouds". Sheesh, where is the imagination in that?

Run Forest Run

Ok time to put a fork in it. I am actually running (literally) to my game development meeting as I wrap this entry up. As mentioned, I was up and out of bed before 7 AM, but somehow still managed to find myself driving 100 mph to work, e-brake skidding into a parking spot while stuntman diving out of the door only to run through the studio to attend the first meeting of the day.

Oh well, keeps life interesting and me on my toes. What fun is it to be on time everyday?
