Wow Easter already! I know peeps comment on how time flies just as grandparents comment on grand-kids growth every time they see them. But seriously, 2013 needs to really slow down and take a breather! I honestly feel like we were just getting into the New Year not that long ago.
I mean relatively speaking it's not "that" long ago I know but April tomorrow, 4 months in, yeah 25% over in my book. Guess I need to start stopping and smelling more roses to help slow the pace.
Raining
It has been raining pretty much all night and it is supposed to not let up until late tonight or sometime Monday morning based on the weather guessers predictions.
Really sucks for all of the kiddos that wanted to have Easter egg hunts and outdoor activities. I guess Mother Nature put her foot down and was not having any of that this Easter. Not to mention the kids will be all jacked up on sugar and stuck indoors to try and burn off all the excess energy. Yup should make for a memorable Easter for most I suppose.
Update: As usual the weather guessers were wrong, the rain has stopped and it's sunny and nice out. Too funny, too too funny! Better luck next time guys.
Staying In
Because of the weather it's the perfect opportunity to not feel guilty about staying indoors and getting things done. I plan to do that in combination with flying my Phoenix flight simulator some more. Why not, it's the ideal conditions for it! Even when the rain stops as I think it will, I plan to stay the course and enjoy my Sunday. There is no racing on to sidetrack me, so as long as I don't fall down some YouTube or Reddit rabbit hole I should be good-to-go.
Kart Racing Opener
Yesterday was the season opener for my kart club. Had I still been racing this year I am sure I would be exhausted and sore today but full of excitement looking forward to the season. I am just happy that the rain held out until today so they were able to get in a full day of racing and tuning both karts and the tracks systems.
Things like timing loops and scales always seem to attract gremlins over the winter months so its good to work the out before the first points race in mid-April. From the sounds of it they had a really good turn out and looking forward it will be a great year of competitive racing.
Stupid Fuckin' Religious Sheeple (not all, just most)
So a quick rant - and to avoid any confusion I am Croatian, not Spanish, nor am I a part of any sheeple club. With that out of the way, today Google did the awesome and did not fill up their search engines home page with a doodle of bunnies and colorful eggs. Instead they paid tribute on the page to Cesar Chavez, an American farm worker, labor leader and civil rights activist that was responsible for a lot of things that you can read about by clicking on his name preceding this sentence.
Today would have been his 86th birthday. Sure, there are stories that he had a bad side as well, beat people allegedly and that sort of thing, but we all know a good Christian would neeeeever do something like that now would they? Look back in history and you will quickly learn how violent religion can be.
Did everyone forget that Easter originated as a pagan holiday that was about fertility, welcoming in spring and related? You know, eggs and bunnies....get it? I guess not, now it seems to only be about egg hunts and candy. Go religion for understanding what you are pissed-off about!
Anyway, because of the Google doodle today the Christians are outraged and planning to switch to Bing since it has colorful eggs and bunnies to brighten their day. I mean really, come on people are you really that ignorant? Yea I guess I should know better - you are that ignorant and simple minded and proving it daily.
Enjoy using Bing while it lasts for you. My prediction is that your willpower to avoid Google will be even shorter than the length of time your kindness lasts after your weekly church brainwashing sheeple-session.
Enjoy those colorful eggs and bunnies. I guess I am an ignorant non-Christian and that is all that today is about, colored eggs and candy filled baskets. Go flock yourself Glenn Beck you moron! Bahh! Says the sheeple, bahh! - flock on!
Hop Hop Away
Enough for today's entry. I think it's time for some more coffee while sitting and watching, listening and smelling this rai storm. They are few and far between in the valley and especially at times you can actually enjoy them so I am going to take Mother Nature up on her offer today.
Have a fun, safe Easter holiday and relax. There are so many more constructive things to do with all that energy you are throwing at Google.
