Dentist Round 2

Not only is today Monday but for me it's starting off with a trip to the dentist, bright and early to get a filling repaired. Why did I open my big mouth about a weird area I was feeling when flossing? I guess I am subconsciously a glutton for pain or something. We are running late of course and I am freaking out a little bit because I don't want to start someone else's week off behind because of my tardiness.

Should be a relatively quick appointment once I am done with the STUPID shot to numb me up. Yea call me a wuss I don't care, I am just not very fond of needles. I would not have made a very good strung out druggie that's for sure!

Ok so dentist went great and ultra fast. I actually opted for no anesthesia shot because it was only planned to be a little bit of a sting at worst. That was the case and I am stoked. I actually had to have him adjust my night guard a little and that was almost more time consuming than the filling.

No matter it's all behind me for this visit and so we rewarded ourselves with a drink from Starbucks and a treat. I opted for a protein plate which includes a hard boiled egg, some cheese, grapes, peanut butter and a round of bread. Cicely always goes for the 3 petite vanilla scones and today was no different.

Shorts Weather

Once again the weather is warming up this week enough to be able to wear shorts but just chilly enough that I need a hoodie until noon or so. Should be pretty stable and in the mid to upper 70's after Easter if anything like usual.

Irrigation Timer

So I managed to get the new Rain•Bird irrigation timer mounted and wired up on the wall late yesterday afternoon / early evening. It was super easy and the only issue I ran into was that one of the wires was too short due to some uneven wire stripping. So I had to mount the box a little lower to accommodate that rather than re-run the wires all the way out to the main box, umm no way was I going to do that.

Otherwise all of the zones came on as expected and I set up the schedule for the early spring weather. The only thing I would consider a "negative" is that you cannot set additional watering times. What I mean is that you only have the option to set "X hours from previous time".

This will work fine but makes off-setting the times for the backyards system a little more tricky. It will all work out once I get use to it. I am considering adding a rain delay device as well but we will see. Generally we don't get too many days of rain to the point it's watering while raining but it would be a cool add on and you know me, I like cool stuff like that!
