Halloween

So it's back to work today unfortunately. I am still quite a bit under the weather and don't feel like being there, instead at home and resting in the comfort of my own bed, couch or whatever.

We have the kids from The Child Garden coming by our cubes to trick or treat so I wanted to be there for that since I bought like $25 worth of candy! Sounds like a lot I know, when in reality it's only four bags each with 52 pieces or so in each. I'm not sure how many we will get coming by but we have enough either way.

Colds

So I am still really spacey today, Cicely is stuffy and congested as is Zoey. I have all of the same symptoms that they do except I get a few zaps in my ears now and again and watery eyes. Cicely seems to get itchy ears, mostly her right ear and I am not sure what little Zoey's personal trait is when sick. Well other than being a tough little trooper.

Hopefully by Monday we are all 3 over this crap and back to normal. This has been no fun at all for any of us and we are ready to be well. Poor Zoey has had a cold off and on for months now. I guess that is normal for them although it does not make it any easier.

Dads

We are planning to go over to my dads house tonight for a few hours or so. Since my step-mom had her surgery a few days ago we figured this would cheer her up. Plus they have not visited with Zoey in a couple weeks.

I need to call and make sure they are 100% okay with it though. With all of us being sick the last thing we need to do is get them sick. Especially if my step moms immune system is not as strong post surgery.

Lights Out

That will have to do it for today. I hope everyone has a great Halloween and gets lots of candy, has a lot of fun and everything in-between. I am not sure if we are handing out candy or not. There have been a lot of break-ins lately in our area so opening our door to let everyone peak inside seems counterintuitive to staying safe.

At the same time it makes me feel bad not handing out goodies to the kids. I remember what it's like when there were a lot of houses with their lights off signifying that they were not handing out any sweets that night.

The only other option is for me to sit outside and hand out candy as they come up to the door but that almost seems kinda silly in a way.
