Productive Laziness

Today I was up and out of bed nice and early once again. Plans for the day were not really in place other than I really had the urge to take the mountain bike up in the hills and play in the dirt for a few hours. There are several trails I have wanted to ride but at that time I was not in good enough cycling shape to make them as enjoyable as they would be now that I ride a lot more.

What Happened

What happened was that I got lazy, really dam lazy to be honest and decided to start picking up some project messes in the house, in the office that Cicely and I share as well as in the garage.

Then I sat down on the couch and started uploading and editing photos for our photo album online. Doing so has quickly identified a major flaw with it - I have it overly complex and granular.

It works out wonderfully to be perfectly honest until you have to show someone else how to use it or where to put things. Questions come up as to whether or not something is about 2014, Zoey, a holiday, a combination of those or what.

Instead of separating and breaking down each I think what I will do is simply have a year by year layout of just those of us in this house. Under our immediate family and that is that. This way it will cover myself, Zoey, Cicely and Oggy. We can easily go through the photos this way and enjoy them.

It will cut out the chance of things getting uploaded wrong as well or worse, not at all out of fear of doing it wrong and messing up the system. That would be stupid and defeat the purpose of getting them all uploaded.

So Yep

That was basically my day and not a single foot of bike riding in the mountains took place. I do plan to go in a few minutes for a quick night ride to put a few miles in before Monday is upon us though. Never know how I will feel or what the weather will do.

Walkers

Last but not least one of our favorite shows starts again tonight "The Walking Dead". We have been waiting for it to start again with much anticipation and it should be a great season.

To celebrate we even have a special outfit for Zoey to wear to school tomorrow that says "little ass kicker" on it, same as the tough little girl that was born on the show, that is her name - well what they call her anyway, she does have a normal name as well - problem is, I don't remember what it is right now - how funny is that?

Tuned Out

That will donut otherwise for today's blog entry. I hope your weekend treated you well and you are ready for a shiny new work-week. Personally I would love a few more days off but oh well, that is life. I will take additional time around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years instead. Oh and on Halloween, it's our state holiday and Zoey's daycare is closed.
