Back To It

Well here we are, Monday and back to work. What a perfect way to start the week - Umm, yeah, I don't think so! I would much rather be kicking back at home with a giant cup of dark, thick and sugary coffee hanging out with the family. Oh well, I have to make a few bucks to be able to do that even if only on the weekends.

Walkers

Tonight we have to catch up on Walking Dead because we were not able to watch it when it aired on Sunday. The day ran short, Cicely had to run to the store a little later than usual and we even skipped my haircut until tonight. It always sucks having to wait until the weekdays to cut my hair because then it's just one more thing to take care of once home.

I skipped my ride tonight so that I could hang out with Zoey while Cicely took Oggy to get the mail and stuff like that, then cook some dinner. Tonight we had hamburgers and steak fries. Good stuff but holy crap was it filling! Plus eating it while watching walkers get put out of their misery while wandering around can be a little difficult, no matter I got through both the show and the burger.

Great episode and the addition of a new character named Gabriel. I am not sure about him but I have a feeling his "sins" as he put it were mostly to save his own ass. Meaning that he locked up the church that he was in and did not let any of the rest of the town in. By doing so he saved himself but let the rest of the community sheeple get killed and/or turn.

Then seeing the return of the whack jobs from the town they just got out of in the first episode was a total dissapointment. Know that they are out there essentiionally "hunting" Rick and his group for food. While eating the one black guy, Bob, they sat there and had a conversation with him. That is some fucked up stuff right there. He will have to die there, otherwise he will not make it very long out on his own or if returned to the group he will be a burden.

I also dont trust the red headed guy. There is something more to him and I am not sure what. He seems shady and then tonight he made a comment to one of the woman as to why he is taking his time and fitting in with the group while the getting is good and to stay alive - weirdo!

iPhone 6 Plus

So today was my first offical full day with my new iPhone 6 plus. The crappy part is that I have had the dam thing since the day that they were released and I am just now using it because a few of the applications on it I need to do work. This meant that I could not upgrade my iPhone 5's iOS to 8.x.x either because I would just have to reset up everything again - no thanks!

Anyway so far so good. I really like the phone. The size will take a little getting use to, mostly for the one hand typing. Its not as easy of a reach as the other iPhone's have been. On the flip-side this is actually a really good thing for me because my wrist really starts to get pissy by the end of a week because I am doing 90% of my typing with my right hand only. With the iPhone 6 plus I am actually able to type with one hand and hold it with the other although it works best to type using both hands.

Signing Off

Okay I could go on for a while talking about the show tonight so I wont. We have a new episode of Doctor Who as well but have not had the time to watch it. By the time everything is done at night we have 1 to 2 hours max to kick-back, do some surfing on the internet or play games on the iPad.

As mentioned, no ride today either other than 4 1/2 miles +/- on the stationary bike at the gym and that was after 30 minutes on the elliptical. Unfortunately I was not able to get any strength training in because I was running short on time. I did get a set of leg extensions in though, figured since I was nice and warmed up it was as good of a time as any. Felt great and the more I can do that the faster or stronger I can ride.

There are a few segments on Strava that I know I could at least get close to on times, then there are those that will take a bit of a miracle because they are really friggin fast times. Maybe they had the perfect tailwind or they are just "that fast".

Anyway, have a good one! Hopefully the start of the week was not too hard on you and you are revved up and ready for the next 4 days. I personally am not because we have ISO audits going on at work and they are always a pain in the ass. Oh well right? Onward I will go....

Photo: Because of the fact that I for some reason or another did not have any photo to use for today I am instead taking one from the internet. Mostly because there was a release today that there will soon be a Doctor Who "learn to program" game out. I think that is great for those that are interested in programming - men and women! Since the 60's programming has become more of a mans world for some reason and it really is unnecessary.
