The People Factor

Well it's Tuesday so Monday is behind me which means that at least one successful day is in the books for the week.

First and foremost the weather. According to the weather guesser's it's supposed to be getting shxtty by the end of the week which means that all of the kids are going to have a wet or freezing cold Halloween.

This also means that more than likely I will have to put away my shorts for the season sooner than later and get back into the habit wearing blue jeans as we roll into the next season, boo! I am not a fan of jeans what-so-ever. I am a shorts and t-shirt or shorts, t-shirt and hoodie as the weather gets nippy.

People

In management the task of getting things done would be so much easier, efficient and agile when faced with change if it weren't the the fact that we have to deal with people.

Oftentimes things are masked by an agenda of a few that have supporters in place who generally know very little about the problem but are willing to support it because doing so seems advantageous to their like ability.

If you have been in the corporate world you will be familiar with the "agenda", better known by it's corporate name and mostly to lessen the sting of change - it's referred to as "the opportunity".

Sniffles

Okay enough about work. Not much that I can do and things will surely fall into place one way or the other.

Starting today I began feeling crappy with a slightly sore throat and runny nose, left side only for now, and my eyes are feeling tired and heavy tonight. I think that I may have managed to catch the cold that Zoey is fighting this week.

As I type this my right nostril is starting to run and clog up a bit as well. Ugh, this really sucks! I have not had a cold since late 2008! Maybe a small head cold at worst but that is it and it would last a day or two then it was gone. I have a feeling this will be here until it's done running it's annoying course.

If I had taken on the cold and it was to relieve Zoey of hers then that would be one thing but both of us being sick is the shots to put it bluntly.

I hope that it goes away quickly and I am able to feel better sooner than later. This not riding my bike crap has really sucked this past week or so!

Out

So that will wrap it up for today, I am pretty much out of things to rabble about and am honestly feeling really tired and drained today. I wonder if my immune system dropped from the flu shot and that was how I caught Zoey's cold?

Anyway enough out of me. Time to swing by the store, load up on juice and stuff to deal with this stupid cold and try to go from there. Hopefully this will be the only one for a while and this one will be quickly behind me!

Photo: Leaves have begun falling and collecting in their own cohesive piles as the season changes and the trees shed in preparation for winter hibernation. It's a beautiful sight, also a bit depressing.
