Dentist & Team Lunch

So the dentist went really well today, I did not have too many "zaps" from them hitting sensitive spots on my teeth where the enamel is slightly wearing away from having my wisdom teeth pulled many years ago. Actually I only had one, and that one was in the usual spot on the upper left. The cool part is that my dentist put some stuff on the tooth that will make it not only less sensitive but will also help to protect the enamel to avoid another issue down the road, well for a year anyhow.

Usually insurance will not pick up the tab for that treatment, but thankfully he is a really great dentist and cares more about patients well being than simply how much money he can get out of their insurance and personal bank account so it will not cost me anything above and beyond what the insurance company does not pay, if anything.

Sushi

So today my team and I headed over to the sushi restaurant that is just down the street and one of the favorites of most everyone on my team, even those that don't care for sushi enjoyed themselves because they were able to get other things like teriyaki chicken, beef and so on.

The place was really quiet compared to the way it use to be when Cicely and I would go there for lunch. I am not sure if it was because we were there right as they opened or if it is because they are slowing down a little bit due to the economy or something. Does not seem like that would be the case because the economy is rebounding quite a bit but you never know.

No matter I think it was a success and everyone left with a full belly and enjoyed the 1.5 hour lunch hanging out with the team. I know that I had a nice time as well. No sushi for me though, I like to get udon whenever I can but it's too hot today for that so I stuck with a chicken katsu instead - it was really good and lightly breaded vs. some places that go crazy with the breading and it seems that you ordered breading, not chicken.

Out the door for just under $130 for 7 people is not bad at all. Even if everyone would have went for the all you can eat the entire bill would have been only a little more money. Worth it to get everyone out of the building and talking about things other than work. Although admittedly we did talk about it a little towards the end.

Printer

So I received my notice yesterday that my 3D printer will finally be arriving this week, woot! I have been waiting for it since May of this year. I did the pre-order when the company finally started accepting them. I had hopes of receiving it a couple to a few months after but the product continued to get pushed back because they wanted it to be "as perfect as possible" once shipped.

As much as I wanted it in my hands I am happy they did this, it will be best in the long run.

Alright

That will do it for today. I am actually going to sneak out of work about 15 minutes early so I can get home and go for a bike ride. I missed my workout today because of the lunch - I usually use that time to do my workout then eat while I am working. Nope, not today but that is totally okay.
