Crummy Weather Coming

Here were are, another day and a fresh start on things to be continued or those that were slid under the rug and never really started the first part of the week.

For me there is not anything that I have necessarily swept under the rug, instead there are those things that naturally put themselves in that location. As I have mentioned in previous entries, there seems to never be enough Tim in the day to finish the things I would like to. I am focusing on the positive side of my days and things that are in reach, getting done and will continue to do the same today.

Low hanging fruit does not always identify the easiest tasks because too much of it, continually spawning, never offers up the opportunity to get to the more difficult and time consuming tasks that are just as, if not more important at times. That is the exact situation I have been stuck in the middle of for weeks if not months now.

No sweat, it will all come together eventually and I can focus on what I want to for a while and the areas I want to improve upon. For now it's heads down and asses up focusing as they used to say when I worked in the pre-press industry many years ago!

We worked our asses off back then, more hours than most could manage in 2 weeks time, we averaged in a single week. I do miss those days every now and again, not so much the hours but more-so the friendships, small group of coworkers and friends with a goal focused on the prize.

In a large corporation there are mostly small fish, a few medium to large the very few big fish. The breakdown occurs often because of the fact the guppies don't know what the whales are doing, the whales don't know or care what the guppies are doing so long as the ocean remains plentiful.

The amount of politics involved is also very mind blowing so I do my due diligence to stay out of it as best I can. Unfortunately when in management there are times that it's a necessary evil to take part in those games as well.

Storms

According to the weather guessers and the fools on the radio this morning that think they are clever and witty DJ's there are supposed to be rain showers today and the week is supposed to start to get shxtty as the days move closer to the weekend.

Once the weekend is here we are supposed to have wind, clouds, rain and whatever else thrown our way. This really sucks because we wanted to take Zoey to the big pumpkin patch on Saturday and have some fun together. I suppose we still can if we plan it just right otherwise we may have to hunker down in the car at times and wait for the showers to pass by.

Cycling Goal

The other part that sucks about the weather that is fast approaching is that I have only 10 kilometers to go to meet my 20 day goal for the disabled athletes fundraiser. Thankfully a very small amount left although with limited days left to do it I may be in the rain, mud, wind or a combination of all of those to get them in.

Either way, if you know me then you know that I do not stop when I have a goal unless there is something completely out of my control that's in the way. Otherwise I believe that there is always a way if you really want to achieve something important to you.

Productive

All said and done it was thankfully a productive day at work and I am slowly but surely catching up with the list of items on all of my to-do lists that have managed to grow over the past few months.

I do still have the majority of my year-end reviews to write but that will be a goal for tomorrow and potentiality the weekend. If the weather is as shxtty as anticipated then it will not be quite as hard to essentially waste my weekend doing work vs relaxing and men talking getting to another place - we will see how it all pans out though.

New Dew

So I am curios to see what Cizzle comes back to work with today. She left for a couple hours at just past lunch so that she had time to get to her hair appointment. I never know what she will come back with though. Could be anything from a basic trim to a crazy trim all the way to bright colors like hot pink and neon aqua, heck I have been surprised by mixtures of both as well.

On the plus side it makes her happy and it does look really good on her.we just have to prepare ourselves for the day that Zoey wants to do all the crazy stuff we did as kids and are still doing today as adults in some ways.

I guess that it makes sense, every time I do one of those surveys that determine your actual age I seem to fall somewhere in the late 20's and I am fine with that. Those were some really good years in my life that I enjoyed to the fullest.

Good 'Nuff 

I think that will be the end of the entry for today. I need to start ending them earlier in the day. Lately I haven't managed to wrap them up until nearly midnight every day this week. That not only is a pain in the ass when I am ready to go to be but also defeats the purpose of the writing somewhat. Not going to be the case because this baby is put to rest!
