Rainy Day

Well pretty much the entire night as well as most of today has been what the weather guessers had predicted, rain! Thankfully it did not start last night until after 8:00 PM so I think that the majority of the trick or treaters were able to dress up, get out and go house to house and get their candy supply for the year before getting drenched.

Running Around

So we were smart and stayed inside the majority of the day, listening to the rain fall and get things done in and around the house, sorta. I think at times doing so ends up making more messes than anything else or generates more projects that need to then be planned for next time. The last thing you want or need is more stuff on your list when your list is already really full.

We did manage to get out of the house around 5:00 or a little before and go over to Babies-R-Us so we could get some diapers, formula and use some coupons that Cicely had for those things. While there I also picked up another jumper swing for Zoey. Yea I know, she just got this really cool ass one that I bought her a few weeks back but this one is a cow, makes cow sounds (which may need to be turned off sooner than later) and otherwise it's pretty much the same as her other one.

There is one exception as the reason as to why I decided to get it. Our doorways are the standard width but the current jumper has a tray around it with activities and music which is great, the problem is that I am really worried that she will pinch her finger in-between the door way frame and the tray at some point. So far it has not been a problem and honestly, could never be one. Rather than worry about it I wanted to get the cow as well "just in case".

Carter's Outlet

After spending a ton of cash at Babies R Us (as usual) we headed back towards home and planned to stop at the Legends Outlet stores mall and see what Carter's had for a good price for kids. They actually had a good selection of stuff that we liked, wanted and needed for the winter months for Zoey which was great.

We still were unable to get out of the store for very cheap, I think we ended up spending another $100 +/- there as well on nothing more than clothes. Same thing at Babies R Us, besides some clothes and a few other things like formula and diapers we spend over $200 there. It's crazy how easy it is to blow through that kind of cash in little to no time with kiddos.

I am scared to see how expensive it gets when she gets older. Maybe some of it will slow down if she is able to wear stuff longer. But then again the styles change so much you can never seem to stay ahead so I guess it depends on the type of fashion and related she is going for.

Dinner

Once done with shopping we decided that we had better pick up something for dinner or else we would be cooking dinner at 9:30 or 10:00 and not eating until 1/2 hour or more from the point that we started cooking. Not that this is a bad thing, we were just running out of time for the day and figured it was better to stop.

I have been craving Popeye's Chicken for a while and so we decided to stop and get some there. I am not sure why I was craving it as it is not my 100% all time favorite, I think that the advertising they have been doing with regards to the butterfly shrimp meal is what pulled me in. It was worth the trip, well not really a trip, it's right there in the same area as the Carter's kids store at Legends mall.

Got home, at the food, well a good portion of it and then decided it was time to call it a night. I watched a little bit of bad late night TV that was on and as I started to get heavy in the eyes, yawning more and bobbing my head I knew that it was time to call it a night and so I did.

That's A Night

With that I am turning off the lights and considering this post done for the day. It has been a fairly nice and relaxing day since we did not go anywhere or run around until it was later in the afternoon once most people were back at home doing whatever it is they do.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a little nicer weather so I am considering going for a ride. Not sure if it would be a mountain bike ride or a road bike ride. The road bike may be an issue because there could be puddles and crap washed into the bike lane from the rain and wind we had. Going up in the hills could potentially be muddy and messy if there are puddles and mud. I guess we will see, the only way to really find out is to get off my ass and go see what is out there to ride.

Photo: Once again, nothing really to snap a photo of that was of any interest to me for today. Because of this we end up with a photo from dinner, well part of dinner anyway. This was the naked chicken that I had (aka blackened chicken).

It was pretty good, along with it I had coleslaw, jambalaya and an 8 piece serving of their butterfly shrimp - good stuff and had enough left over to eat today as well which is always a bonus. Oh it does come with a roll but Cicely gets that, I am NOT a fan of biscuits for the most part and prefer cornbread with this kinda food anyhow so yea, is what it is.
