Crazy Fast

Short entry today if I can manage to keep it that way anyhow. Basically from the moment I walked into the studio I was busy. In a meeting 5 minutes after setting my stuff in my cube.

More

Once I was out of that meeting I headed back toward my cube but stopped off at my teams cubes to discuss the games they were working on, how things are going as well as what they may need from me, if anything.

From that point I finally made it into my cube at just after 1:00. I had one more chat to take care of and then it was off to my cube for lunch - so I thought.

Back in my cube one thing led to two things which led to a third thing, you get the idea. I figured if all went as planned I would have 20 minutes to eat some food and make it to my next meeting. Nope, between answering phone calls, texting peeps back and answering emails the lunch minutes had slipped away. Sure, I could have eaten during some of the emailing and such but only if I wanted cold food and I didn't.

Out, Back In

Once in that next meeting I figured it would go quickly enough that I could eat a little of my lunch. Once again, no dice because it lasted the entire hour. Okay just short of the entire hour and it NEVER lasts that long!

This meant I had just enough time to get to my cube, grab something to drink and hit my next meeting for a game review. That meeting was only about 30 minutes long but the after meeting was closer to 45 minutes.

Back at my cube I sat down only to be warned by Windows OS that I needed to change my password. This is easy obviously but requires patience because of the specifics ours require. Uppercase letters, numbers and symbols, no repeats of characters or patterns as well as a password you have not used in a year I think is the latest rule.

Time To Get Zoey!?! Holy Crap!

Okay password is all set and accepted by the system. First try even, that is rare! Plug in my phone to charge and back to work. Yea right - immediately my phone buzzes and it's Cicely, she is already outside waiting for me so we could go get Zoey. Wow are you kidding me?

Grabbed my stuff and headed outside to go with her to get Zoey from daycare. Once at daycare we chatted with Zoey's teacher Hailee for a few then back outside and into the car to start the journey back home and begin the nightly duties of parents, fuzzy kid owners and to take care of ourselves.

The Commute

Here I am, finally on the way home. I sit in the passenger seat typing this entry as Cicely drives to give me a few minute break (thank you baby).

Well it looks as though my entry ended up longer than I thought it was going to be and that is okay. This was the nickel tour of my day and I hope they are few and far between.

While it was great to have the day go by so quickly and feel as though I accomplished a lot it was a day that I did not eat since my breakfast bowl at 8:00 AM and did not get to go to the gym once again.

That part of my day is actually pissing me off and I need to work on it. Monday's and Tuesday's have become my hell day's, I guess it's good to get them out of the way up front? For now that is my positive approach to it anyhow.

Photo: This was the view on the way into the studio today. Nice but getting more and more nippy everyday. I think the toughest part for me is that it's getting dark just after 5:00!
