Today will be a nice short day at work. We have developers that are considered junior level, or level one and two they still get an end of the year bonus and it goes out to them today, direct deposited into their accounts.
For those that are senior level developers at a level three or four as well as managers, we get a bonus around the 12th of December. For everyone it's not a guaranteed thing just like raises aren't guaranteed for anyone. It's all dependent on the company's success or failure for the year and the numbers they run for the company as a whole.
There are always complainers no matter what you give out. Today they received the bonus if they were in that category as well as a free lunch catered into the studio and then allowed to go home 1/2 day to enjoy some more time away. Pretty friggin' awesome if you ask me and most employees but there are always the ingrates that want more or act as though it sucks because they think they know what someone else makes or gets for their salary and bonuses.
Weather
The weather is actually pretty nice today and a little warmer than expected which is great news. I am still wearing short so that should be a good indication of the weather. I like it as far as the temperatures but someone else can have the snow itself.
Does It
That does it for today. Heading to Home Depot to get myself a new EGO blower for leaves and grass clippings. It's a really powerful one and so far I really like the brand. Should only run me around $220 with tax which is not too bad considering the power it has. More on that later possible if I decide to add anything.
Otherwise that's it for today and we will have to wait to see what tomorrow brings us all.
Photo: Yep it's definitely fall leading into wintertime. The yard is covered in leaves and the trees have barely started shedding them.
