Fuzzy Kid Check-Up

Today is one of those days that I just don't care for that much. I mean don't misunderstand what I am saying. The day itself is great! I'm off of work, Cicely, Zoey and Oggy are home with me and the high temperature for the day is supposed to be 68° which is insane for this time of the year. Although it's typical since I have my indoor bike trainer now the weather will continue to be warm and dry just you watch.

So the reason that I don't like today is because we have an appointment this morning to take Oggy into the vet to get a quick blood draw and a check-up to see how he is doing and to make sure that all is well with his ticket and related.

In December we are planning to take him in for a full teeth cleaning which will be tough on us as well since they have to put him to sleep with anesthesia so they can do a full cleaning and get everything in tip top condition. At the same time we may have a couple little skin bumps taken off and checked that they are not anything to worry about.

I guess more than anything I hate knowing what he is heading in for and he does not know anything other than we are going for a ride. That said I dunno how people do it when they have to make that trip to take the fuzzy kid in and have them out to sleep for good and say their last goodbyes.

I don't want to ever lose Oggy but when we do I want him to be able to go peacefully with us at his side, holding him and making him feel just as secure, safe and lived as the first day that we brought him home.

Otherwise

Not much else going on today. I will either go for a ride or I will setup the Wahoo KICKR and go for a ride on it. Heck, maybe I will do all of the above you never know! It's a nice day as mentioned as far as the weather is concerned so I may go do the 'Hole In The Wall' trail to get a few mountain bike miles in.

Mentally it's tough because it's only 10 miles or so and I like to go 15-20 minimum. Sure I could do the ride twice I guess but I dunno how enjoyable that would actually be. It's not the most technical or exciting out and back after all but that is a way to get the miles in.

Okay that will do it for now. Should anything crazy-exciting go down today I will be sure to update this entry. Have a safe and warm Thanksgiving-eve!

**Oh, Oggy did great at his check-up. Everything looks good and they will give us a call on Friday to let us know about any blood-work things we need to keep an eye on or not. Plus we were able to setup his dental cleaning and surgery for December. Lot's of money going out but we will have him all fixed up and ready to go in no time.

Photo: New game I downloaded from the AppStore yesterday called 'Monument Valley '. Really cool game with a M.C. Escher vibe throughout. All I know is that I am very much hooked on it for now. Hopefully it does not manage to stress me the hell out at some point with impossible puzzles!
