Here we are once again rolling into another Tuesday workday and things seem to be going along fairly well considering all of the things I am juggling at the moment both inside and outside of the game studio. Let's hope that things continue along this trend for the rest of the week so I can get things done and manage to continue the momentum.
My Little Dancer
So as of last week, our little girl started doing her own little things. I think that she is starting to figure out all of here moves and what her muscles can do. She is working on her reflexes as well and it's just as cute as it sounds - probably even cuter than I could ever describe.
The coolest part is that she has this thing that she does where she takes her right arm and clinches her fist. She then shakes her arm left to right, fist still clinched as though she is getting ready to throw the dice in Vegas. The moment she is done with the dice move, she does this bobble with her head and so far only to one side, the left, just a couple bops and is then done with her move. She will giggle a few times on occasion after or wait a minute and do it again.
At first we thought it was nothing more than something cute and that was that. But we have noticed her doing it while she is playing the music on her toys as well. The moment the music comes on she will start doing her dance. It's so dam cute and funny all wrapped into one package. I am 100% certain that she gets that from Cicely because I don't have moves like that and if she keeps going at this rate she will be a better dancer than me before she is 1 year old.
Growing Too Fast
Speaking of being a year old - today Zoey is officially 8 months old and holy cow. Everyone that told us that time would fly by like crazy and we would not have any idea where it all went were so right. It's really difficult to explain until you are in the middle of it as a parent. They really do grow up fast and it's easy to miss little bits and pieces of them getting older if you are not careful.
She was trying to crawl once again last night and Cicely and I must have sat there along with Oggy watching her for well over an hour, anticipating that first crawl forward. So far she mostly gets her leg tucked under and careful does this forward move as to not do a face-plant but to get forward momentum as she is getting the leg out from under her. Again, so cute!
As much as we cant wait to see her crawl it really scares us as well because of all the new things it opens up. We will have to be sure to child proof the house even more and we also need to be more careful where we put her down. Not to mention when we are taking a quick shower or whatever we can now sit her down and she will play while one of us is getting dressed or doing something else, but still keeping an eye on her. Once she is mobile it will be that much more difficult for us, yet easy for her to get into stuff.

All I Have
That will do it for today. I have to run to more meetings - it's Tuesday and that just so happens to be what I do the majority of the day. No big deal and all are generally very productive for the most part. Those that are not, we all try to get in and then get out of them as to not waste precious time, especially this time of the year when we have reviews and related that need to be done.
No gym for me today unless one of my meetings gets cancelled or I get out of one of them early enough. I think what I will do is go for a quick ride on the mountain bike tonight but on the streets around the area.
I would take my road bike but I still need to fix the flat rear tire and I don't really want to have to do that after work. 10 to 20 minutes of that and I will be out of energy and not want to go for the ride. It's crazy how tired I am anymore after a long day at work in management compared to being in an individual contributor position. Boo-hoo, I know - no sweat though I am enjoying it.
