Stupid Norovirus

So today we are off of work and it is supposed to be one of those days that we get some things done as well as relax a little bit. The weather is not very nice it's gloomy and looks like it's going to rain. According to the weather guessers it's supposed to rain later this evening and I hope for once if they are correct that is actually when it rains.

I have not mowed the lawn in over a week and it looks terrible. It's extremely long because of all the rain and extra water that it is getting. Plus at the beginning of the week if you remember correctly, the guys came out and gave the lawn it's spring treatment. That feeding always makes it grow fast for a while and especially right after.

I think more than likely whether it rains anymore or not I'm going to need to pull out the gas lawnmower to take care of the mowing this time. It is so long that it will take me twice as long to do it with the electric one unfortunately.

Sick Cizzle

We are not sure what is wrong with Cicely. Yesterday we had to leave work about an hour early because she was not feeling very well at all. She was cramping a lot and feeling very nauseous. Before you think about asking the obvious question let me answer for you ahead of time, no, she is not pregnant.

She slept through most of the night from the time that we got home all the way until just after seven this morning. When I say sleep that's sort of a way of saying that she laid in bed with your eyes closed. According to her she was only ever in a very light sleep so she never really got the rest that she needs, that sucks!

There is a case of the norovirus going around Zoey's daycare so it's entirely possible that is what she caught. Even though she has some of the same symptoms, or very similar ones, I don't think that is what it is. She had not been on the toilet as much as she would be if she had that virus. Plus the cramping and throwing up that goes along with it she has not had either.

I say this because I am happy that it's not what she has. Yesterday it was kind of scary to see her that cramped up because usually she can handle pain very good and hides it away. I just hope that as of today she starts feeling much better and is back to her normal self.

Cycling Goal

I am getting close to the end of being able to reach my goal of 1,225 km for the month. Well it's actually not a month, it's over the course of 40 days. I keep thinking it's a month because it started in April and goes just past the first week of May. I cycled a little bit last night on the trainer and it really kicked my ass because I was so tired.

As you can tell and as you can imagine I am determined to meet his goal one way or another. Today it's really crappy looking outside but I'm going to try and get in a decent ride outdoors and if I have to I will get back on the trainer to do some more miles. I think I have around 145 miles left to go before I complete the challenge and the rewards for doing so will be available after.

Vet Visit

In other news, Oggy has to go to the vet today to get some of his normal vaccines done as well as have them check a few things like a stool sample. Thankfully, I don't think he requires any shots or blood draws today so that is good. I don't like it when he has to have that done same thing with Zoey.

Okay, About It

Alright I think for today is that where I'm going to call it quits. I need to get outside and get my miles in before the weather turns to shxt on me and I am stuck inside on the trainer again.

Once done, then I can 'relax' by mowing the lawn in the rain, LOL! Actually it's not a bad thing it just sucks that I have to use the gas line more because then I stink afterwords like exhaust and have to shower. Doesn't really matter though after cycling I will want to shower anyhow so it all works out.

Photo: This is one of two things that Cicely got from Zoey for Mother's Day. She made them both at school of course. This one is a key-chain and the other (not shown) is a pot with a plant in it. On the pot are Zoey's hand-prints, photos and ribbon - very cute!
