Even though it's Tuesday, today is officially our Monday because we are off work for the Memorial day holiday yesterday. It's definitely diving back in with both feet because everyone is ready and raring to go after the extended weekend I think.
The calendar has been filling up fast with lots of things to do. From the usual 15 to 30 minute meetings, depending on the topics that need to be covered, or those things that were skipped last week because peeps were focused on getting out of the office, not working on things they could easily put off for a few days.
No matter it's back to it again and getting caught up on everything. Should not be too big of a deal once we are into it full force and everyone is on the same page with those things that were left to do.
Weather
From the looks of it and hopefully I am not going to jinx things by saying it, well typing it on here. The weather is looking good and the rain may finally be behind us. The sad part as I have mentioned in other posts is that we do really need the rain, more than I think most people realize that we do. While it can be frustrating to enjoy the days or time away from work when there are raindrops dumping down from above, you really have to look at the good inside of it.
Anyway, so yeah, the weather will be a little windy or cloudy today and possibly into tomorrow but otherwise in the low 80's which will be really nice. I am looking forward to the nicer days of cycling although I need to really lather on the sunscreen much more. Last weekend it was a cloudy day and not that warm, Saturday actually, and I managed to get a burn on the upper portion of my right arm. Not sure how other than not enough sunscreen or I sweated it off I suppose. Thankfully that was the only spot that was affected and not my neck, ears and so on.
If the wind can manage to mellow out this week I should have a good opportunity to do a ride both days this weekend. Even if it does turn out to be windy I know as well as you do that I will be in the saddle doing miles. I need to eventually take the bike to other places like up around Donner and do some climbing at elevation. All in good time though, no reason to rush it. Plus I now have to figure out a hack to get Zoey's bike trailer to work on my bike so I can take her for some rides as well. I think she will get a real kick out of it, hopefully just as much as she did with the hiking.
Enough
I'm fairly confident that is about all of the white space that I will be able to fill in today. I do have some new toys that I could rabble about, well one anyway which is my new Garmin 650 Handheld GPS I picked up last weekend at the annual REI memorial day weekend sale. Of course the dam thing was not on sale nor were many other things that I bought, no much you can do. They do that on purpose to get you in the store. At least I will get dividends on the items so that works for me.
Hopefully if this is your Monday as well it has been a pleasant one for you and not do much drama has come your way. I know at times that can be a real day killer if so. My day has had some, though for good reason and I need to look into it some more later on. Not that I want to, though it's part of my job and honestly even if it were not, I'd almost certainly seek out the same information. Take it easy and if not before, rabble at ya' tomorrow - I think I'm going to head down to the gym!
Photo: Nothing terribly interesting to take a photo of today or to share so we are left with a photo of one of my three random desktops, sorry - it's the best that I can do for today.
