Reboot, It's Monday

Just like that, last week flew by and as bad luck would have it so did the weekend. This means that more than likely this week will be a long one. Not only because we have to work an extra day, because we rarely have two fast weeks in a row, unless while on vacation - then time flies!

Weather

Quick mention about the weather. It was cold and windy all day yesterday, heck I did not even go outside now that I think about it. About the furthest I went was to the garage and that was far enough to realize how cold it was out and that my day would be spent inside the house.

This morning on the radio while waking up they mentioned that the weather guessers predict it will continue to get cold this week and that by the end of the week we will have rain showers down in the valley that will turn into snow in the mountains, ending up with snow down here on the valley floor.

I am not looking forward to shoveling or dealing with snow this week. Heck the weeks have been so nice that I already started to get a little bit of a tan line on my legs where my cycling shorts stop! I would like to continue working on that, not bundling up for winter weather!

Cubed

So I never mentioned that Saturday night we had to swing by work so I could update a couple time cards for my employees that spaced doing them or spaced putting in holiday time for the 16th. What a pain that can be to have to drive all the way across town and back for little more than ten minutes worth of work. I really think that payroll needs to start running on Monday afternoon or at least give us managers until 10 or 11 on the Monday of payroll weeks to get everything approved.

Doing time on a Friday has never been a good thing. Everyone is in the mindset of getting out of there for the weekend and easily forget to do their time. This means that managers get a nasty-gram with all of the legal jargon in it sometime that next week. We then have to go through one-by-one and manually approve every entry and send that back to the payroll department.

I completely understand why we and they have to do it, it's just that it's a bit of a hassle and making the cutoff Monday instead of essentially Friday would help us out tremendously.

Otherwise it's a fairly average Monday and looking to be a typical week so far in every other way. Of course now I've jinxed myself so we will see how things turn out and looking back at the week once Friday is here again.

The weekend was nice, spending time with Zoey and Cicely. We had her parents come over both days. Her step mom, Kay, stopped by Saturday with Cicely's sister Danika to visit Zoey. Then on Sunday her dad and sister Miranda stopped by for an hour to put in a little quality Zoey time.

It's cool that they come by so often, we like it and Zoey does as well. It's a little strange that my dad and step mom Cyndi do not come over very often, they live the closest and are less than 5 minutes away. I know they are working on moving, selling the house and all of that so maybe that is the reason.

No matter, on with the day and the week. More than enough rabbled about for one day and more to come this week.
