Recovering & Cycling

Wow another awesome day today for a ride. Even though I managed to get a pretty late start I was able to put in just over an hour long spin, 20 miles and just over 1,000 feet of climbing which was my goal for today in the first place.

Now that I have wrapped up the Grand Fondo for this month I am continuing to work on the total miles which I doubt I would hit currently at 1,200km and I think I am just over 250km after today's spin.

I could also try for the 150km ride challenge although that would be pushing it a little bit too far this early in the season. I would have to do yesterday's ride plus another 40km and then another 5 to 10km on top of it to play it safe. You never know when some of the data may be read wrong, the last thing I want is to upload only to find out that I was just shy of the achievement and have to do it again.

Standing Tall

A real quick yet monumental and amazing day and mention for Zoey. She suddenly started letting go of the things that she was standing and holding onto. Just last week she started standing up, well pulling herself up and already today she is letting go of things, wow!

It's all going by so fast and we are just approaching a year already! I can't believe it, really I can't already a year of being parents and it has been really great so far, but not without struggles of course and that is to be expected completly. Cicely also has done so much, it's so awesome watching them both interact when it's not my turn to do so with her. Of course, it's always my turn, Cicely's turn and whomever else is around. That is just the amazing personality of Zoey. She easily infects people with it and once you are sucked in there is no going back.

Bedtime

It's now just after 1:00AM (although I did change the time of this entry being posted so it would show up in my timeline correctly if you were wondering). No matter, I should really be back in bed getting rest. I slept for a good hour or two on the couch after my ride and that is what kept me going until now. Although based on the weight I am feeling from my eyelids it tells me that it's now time to wake up Cicely and Oggy and head into bed for the night and to enjoy the last day of the 3 day weekend before the work week is upon us and kicking into high gear.

Photo: Panorama photo from my ride today, way up top the mountain at the water tower where the road ends. First time up there, probably not the last.
