Another early day today just like the week started out yesterday. Only today it is not filled with awesome pix of baby but needles to draw blood and gadgets to take vitals, body fat readings and so on. Not the most exciting way to start the day, that's for sure!
Happy to say that everything looked good in the screening and no flags were thrown on things I should keep an eye on, avoid an so on. Great news to hear that my workouts must still be paying dividends which makes them worth the effort. My weight was up a little bit, but nothing big and actually happens to me throughout the year. Normally I am the opposite of everyone else and manage to lose in the winter an gain in the summer but I think my body may be switching gears as I get older.
The only downside to the testing today was that they were unable to find my vein when they did the blood draw. Yep, the first, maybe the second time this has ever happened to me and I don't like it one bit. First I cannot stand getting my blood drawn, no it really does not hurt just a quick pinch but more the fact that something is jabbing in my vein gives me the creeps.
So after a couple tries and searching for it while the needle was in my arm the lady removed it and sent me to another tech to do the draw. Unfortunately he had to go up much higher on the vein which is not fun because it does hurt a little more, but at least he got a full vile and I was on my way.
Lights Out
That will have to do it for today. I have had a pretty rough day at the office as far as the lack of getting content through. It is super frustrating on days like this and I just want to go home and have a drink, mess around with the bass guitar or fly on the simulator. Dunno if I will be able to do any of that or not, but simply going home will be a bonus today. Tomorrow is a new day, I can reboot and try it all again. Until then, hope your Tuesday treated you fair!
Photo: Cicely brought me lunch from the cafe here at work today, it was an Asian stir-fry dish. Pretty good stuff actually. Anyway, this was the fortune in my cookie. Not too sure what to make of it
