Blink And A Miss

This is going to be a short post for today. I know that I say that all of the time but it's a fact today. The day started out with phone calls trying to figure out why one of my FSA claims was denied. Ended up, after 2 phone calls and online research and about an hour of my time that I simply did not include an itemization for the claim but only the receipt - d'oh! So yea it was my fault but they do not make it very intuitive to fix or find out what was wrong. No matter, I know now and the $80 should be coming my way in about 3 days or so.

Otherwise it has been one of those days that you blink and you miss the entire day. I had to have Cicely drop me off at the front door of the studio first thing this morning because I had an early meeting I was running behind for. I made it just in time, thankfully. From there it was more meetings, mini-meetings in my cube and running around the studio. I managed to get a little done in between but tomorrow needs to be a head down, do not disturb me kind of day. Well after the meeting first thing in the morning for the engineering group.

Mom

I guess sis was able to take mom to the doctors today, then to an imaging center to have chest x-rays done. I know / we know that there is not anything wrong with her, but it is one of the things you have to have done before you are allowed to check into an assisted living center. I am SO THANKFUL that she was able to take mom. I don't know how I would have been able to do it. I feel so bad that mom has to go into a place to be taken care of but I know in my heart it will be so much safer and routine for her - which is exactly what she is in need of.

Purple & Blue

Cicely took a break today and went and had her hair done up. Looks really good as it always does. She had it trimmed and styled as well as colored blue and purple. Really light, just enough to accent the natural black color her hair is. I like it a lot and I know she does too. I just hope as baby gets older she realizes how cool her parents are ha ha.

Does It

Ok that will do it for today. I guess this was a little longer of an entry than anticipated, wow! Not edge of the seat excitement but an entry none-the-less. I am creeping up on 1 year straight without missing adding one into here so that is really cool! I will admit, it's no easy task but I think it's good for the mind and is fun to look back at now and then. Otherwise, nearly the end of the week and time to enjoy a few days off - cant wait!
