Concrete & Drainage Day 3

So we are on the third day now of the projects on the side of the house - concrete around the shed with drainage to the back and additional drainage setup from the side downspout running underground about 150 feet to drain. Really big project actually, much bigger than I anticipated so I am glad I did not attempt it on my own. If so it prolly would have taken me an entire summer!

Heck initially I was surprised when they said a single day for the project although I have a good idea now that it was the start date not the start and finish date. Honestly I am surprised they are as close to being done as they are. I think they will finish today from the looks of things at the end of their work yesterday.

Yesterday they had to dig out a ton of the area to be able to get it level as well as be sure they could keep it under the edge of the house siding and create proper drainage angles.

Today it looks like a little more prep work in the morning and concrete will be poured by lunch I think. We have been lucky enough to have awesome weather this entire week, in the high 70's basically everyday which is rare a week or two before Halloween! I guess I will see tonight what progress they are able to make today, hopefully the project will be done and we can move on to other stuff we need to have done.

Doggy Daycare

Because we took Monday off and Cicely stayed home yesterday we have no choice but to take Oggy to daycare today while the guys finish up the project. It's a good thing actually because it will give him some stimulation and time around other boo-dogs. He was super focused and excited all the way driving there today. He should be exhausted tonight which will do him some good to get the exercise also.

After work when we pick him up he will be stoked to go over to moms with us for our weekly checking in on her. I think it will make her really happy as well to visit with him for a few. Hopefully Oggy is not sad or depressed since his best buddy in the whole world, Nemo, will not be there as he always has been.

Cure

That will do it for this entry, time to let the ink dry, or "cure" like the concrete being poured. We have another all-hands meeting at work to go over last weeks events and then it's one more meeting for my game and back to business as usual for the most part - finally! I feel like I am getting so dam far behind on my projects and it's stressing me out a little bit actually.
