Early Bird Goes To The Doc

Today we are up and out of the house at just past 7:30 AM. Cicely decided that it would be a good idea to make her baby doctor appointment at the butt crack of dawn for some reason. I know it was her thinking of our best interest, getting us up and out so we could get home at a decent time.

Today should be pretty sweet because we get to have another ultrasound which is always a blast. Well for me anyway, I get to see what is going on in Cizzle's belly and take a peek at our little munchkin. Plus it gives Cicely reassurance that all is well if she has not had symptoms of pregnancy for a couple days.

Today marks 18 weeks so we would finally be finding out the sex I think had we not already. We already know because we did the blood test and there was the extra X chromosome which means a girl - as long as I don't have it mixed up.

No matter I still want to see what they tell us today. With our luck they will swap the guess back to a boy like they told us during the visit at 9 weeks.

Screening

Tomorrow is our health screening at work. Means blood draws, body fat tests, and all that jazz. A lot of peeps skip out on it, I think that is pretty stupid. I mean I don't like getting my blood drawn at all, but a few seconds of discomfort to save $650 over the course of the year is more than worth it to me. I'm in!

Other than that there is not a lot to rabble about today. I may use the "early out" from work to get the lawn mowed a day ahead of schedule - exciting stuff, I know! It is supposed to get crummy out starting tomorrow so it's in my best interest.

I will try to add an update to this post if there is any exciting news at the doctors visit. Otherwise, happy Monday!

**Nothing exciting at the doctors other than the fact that everything is going great. Babies brain is as it should be, spine is straight, bladder has some pee in it, no clef on her lip, kidneys are functioning and her umbilical cord looks perfect. We were able to see blood flow as well as a really good shot of her head.

She was snoozing with her arm bent and up behind her head just like Cicely sleeps, so adorable. She was also kicking around a bunch unfortunately the kicking is focused on Cicely's bladder.

Notice I am saying "she" a lot? Yep they confirmed it again that we are having a little baby girl :D so exciting! We can't wait to meet you little one!

Photo: Cool keyboard that controls the ultrasound. Great view of baby today, so exciting.
