Governments Closed

So I guess all of the bullshxt mandatory health care was not enough for the government to put on us. Today they were going to or have put 800,000 government employees on leave without pay, also know as being furloughed.

I guess on the positive side at least they are not losing their jobs but in a way they are for whatever length of time this lasts since they do not get paid for it. More bullshxt to confuse and corrupt the already confusing and corrupt systems that we have in place.

Doctors, Ugh

Today started off really nice other than the fact that we had to get up at the crack of dawn to get to Cicely's baby doc appointment. Don't get me wrong, they are actually kinda fun (for me) because we get info, updates and reassurance that everything is on track.

Sorry to say that the calm of the morning changed when I received a call from my primary care physician who once again will not fill my prescription for the required 90 days - Grrr!. This is required by my insurance company. I explain this to him every visit that I need refills to be called in. I constantly feel like I am ignored and in turn only get a small refill called in each visit for a maintenance medication I am required to take for life.

I know this sounds like no big deal but it's a real pain in the ass for me to fill via the mail service. It also restarts the prescription every time he calls a new 30 day in vs. the required-by-insurance 90 or yearly fill. Of course many other issues sprout from this as well that I won't get into cause it will piss me off more.

Based on this I think it's a sign that it is time to start looking for a new primary care physician. I honestly hate the process of doing this and the first couple appointments usual suck.

Ahh not-so-fun stuff but something I better do and get past before all of this new health care crap takes effect in 2014 and complicates things even more.

The Positive

So on a quick positive note, everything went great at the doctors apointment for Cicely and baby. She is at the weight and size she needs to be and we were able to listen to babies heartbeat once again. So cool to hear it. Cicely was so happy that she was crying as we left the appointment because she has been worried for the past couple weeks - namely because she has been feeling pretty normal. The doctor said that is a good thing and enjoy it.

She will start to get bigger in the coming months and that is actually baby weight. If she was getting too big now, that would be mommy weight and is the weight that is super hard to lose after baby arrives - good to know! I am super excited that everything is going well and that Cicely is doing an amazing job with our bundle of joy. Another appointment in about a week where we should be getting another ultrasound photo, then we don't have any others until the end of the month - at which time she should be showing even more they say. Exciting stuff!! Keep up the great work Cizzle I am so proud of you!

Cancel

Alright, I am done for today. I need to chill out for a few and focus on Cizzle's appointment. All of this doctor stuff is going to only get worse I have a feeling so I better work on my patience now - no pun intended.

Hopefully your Tuesday is going well. Mine will improve once I get to work and am able to better roll into the day. I was unable to have my morning cup of coffee and no breakfast so that adds to the recipe of a grumpy-ass morning.

Photo: Friend posted this on FB today, I had to use it for my photo of the day - thanks Jack!
