Review Madness

This morning I received an email from Amazon asking me to do a quick review on one of the many items that I have recently purchased from them. In the past I have always sort of put it on the back burner and never really cared much to take the time to do them.

There was something special about today, I actually went in and filled out one, which led to me filling out another, then whatta you know another and more after that. All together I think it said that I added 25 reviews today - holy crap! I am not sure if I am surprised that I did that many, or the fact that I spend a shxt-ton of money online for stuff. I know 25 items does not sound crazy, but we are prolly talking in the past 2 months, maybe 3?

No matter it is done and I don't have anymore reviews that are waiting to be done. Well, at least not until my orders that I put in this weekend start to show up. Plus we will be buying a few things for organization and for Zoey's room which will most likely come from Amazon.

Shxt Done

Managed to actually get a bunch of crap done today that we have been putting off for many weeks to months. Things like hanging up all of the pictures of family that we have had laying around waiting to be put up. It feels really nice to get them up on the wall, and makes the house even more homey.

Next I was able to fill up the safe with tons of my firearms, ammo and related accessories. I will continue to add things in there as well. Important documents and related items as I get more time and sort through things. It feels really good to know that it is all safe and sound now. Really good actually, and hard to put into words.

After we managed to get all of that done we moved on to more mundane things that we have been putting on the back burner. Cleaning the trashcans before winter, throwing out old foods and basically going through the refrigerator and getting that cleaned out etc.

We did not manage to get much done, actually nothing done in Zoey's room and in what will become our shared office / studio space. That is ok because we can work on that over the next week or so and try to get it done slowly but surely.

Zoey Goods

Yesterday we hopped into the car and headed over to the opposite side of town (south side) and put in the order for Zoey's first couple pieces of furniture. We ordered the "stages" crib that goes from a crib to a toddler bed then a teen, full sized mattress size bed. Feels great to get that out of the way. We also put in the order for her dresser, but that will not be in for nearly 2 or 3 more weeks. All said and done we managed to save over $360 by utilizing coupons we had and the store allowing us to do multiple transactions to save money (big time thanks to Babies 'R Us for that).

To be perfectly honest, I think that a certain part of me is actually more excited about the furniture coming in so I have a project to build it. There is something really satisfying for me when it comes to building things, even if it's just assembling them. Not to mention I will be doing it for my daughter which makes it that much more exciting and special - I just hope she likes what we have picked out for her! If not, in a few years when she is big enough we can all go down together and pick something out that she has a say in the matter as well.

Movies & TV

Time to relax for a bit before planting some roots into the couch and watching another episode of both Breaking Bad and Dexter. At the same time becoming one episode closer to finding out how it will all end and realize that it's gone for good, boo! Same thing actually with Battlestar Galactica - we only have 4 episodes of that left before we have to find something else to watch.

Actually we have a plethora of things in our Netflix queue, and need to get back to the show Orange is the new black anyhow so it wont be hard to find something to watch. Last night we watched The Incredible Burt Wonderstone after I rented it on iTunes. It was so/so and a way to pass the time watching a movie while kicking back on the couch although if anyone was wondering, I would not recommend it very highly. It was decent, but predictable in pretty much every way. Not to mention it was weird seeing Jim Carrey in such a small role - although in all honesty he is sort of wearing on many fans simply because he has many of the same known mannerisms while acting.

For me though, seeing one of my favorite actors - Steve Buscemi getting a big role in a feature length movie made me stoked - although I still would not recommend renting it unless you are simply looking to kill 90 minutes or so one day.

That will do it for today. I do have to give a quick shout out to my step-mom Cyndi and tell her ^*^HaPpY BiRtHdAy*^* and I hope it's a great  one. We actually called and talked to her earlier and it sounded like it was going great and that she was having a great day, plus getting spoiled with cool gifts from my dad.

Early day tomorrow for a meeting with the CEO of the company. Basically going over new corporate identities and so on from what I hear - guess we will see how that goes. I have a feeling what some of the meeting will be about, but speculations on things like this is just wasted energy so I will leave it at that and see what happens tomorrow.
