New Earth

So last night we finally watched the final 2 episodes of Battlestar Galactica on Netflix and it was pretty good the way they ended it. They did leave several things unanswered like who Kara Thrace "Starbuck" was exactly and if Gaius Baltar was a skin-job as well as several other things that we are now left to ponder.

They managed to finally kill off President Laura Roslin, well cancer took her life in the final moments as her and the commander William "Bill" Adama were flying to the area they planned to build a cabin - the Presidents dream once this was all over.

Some crazy battles went down in the second to last and last episode with the Cylons that ended up basically destroying Galactica so they had to send it and pretty much all the other ships in the fleet on a direct crash-course into the sun for retirement.

I could go on for hours writing about the show but I will spare you the read. If you have not seen it and are into that sort of mini-series I think it's worth the investment of time. It can be a little bit soap opera'ish at times but not necessarily in a bad way. All said and done though - I will admit that we are happy to be done with the show but sad to see it go.

Knowing us, we will find something to fill the gap in no time. Actually we just need to pick something in our Netflix queue I guess - problem solved.

Brr!

For the middle of September it is much colder than expected. I mean the high for today should be in the 80's or so but this morning it was in the 60's and the weather guessers said that we will be as low as the 40's and 50's the rest of the week in the mornings.

By this weekend there are supposed to be storms added to the mix as well. I assume only raid though, it's much too warm still for snow and related - thank you mother nature!

Floods

So one of my coworkers that lives in Colorado posted some video of the flooding he is dealing with at his house. Although it is "nothing compared to the rest of the area" as he put it, I thought it was pretty bad and actually scary.

I feel really bad for them and wish they were around here so we could offer help if possible. I know first hand what it's like to go through a flood, but at your home would be 10x worse. I hope everything comes back to normal for them and everyone in that area very soon!

Decompression Chamber

Time to hit the productive button again and end this note. Super tired today after the fuzzy kid was up on and off most of the night with an upset belly. He seems to be feeling much better today though so that's good.

Otherwise the lawns were mowed last night - yep in the friggin' dark, but they are done. Today is filled with meetings and then moms after work which is always difficult and emotional. I just hope it helps her - I think that it does. Plus it reminds her she is loved and that we want her safe.

Until tomorrow - have a good one and don't take any frackin' crap from anyone in your fleet!

**Also, today's location is not the usual "spot that I wrote the entry" but it's the GPS coordinates that Walt used in the episode of Breaking Bad when he buried his barrels of money (81 million dollars) in the desert - which ultimately ended up being the grave for his brother-in-law, crazy!

Unfortunately don't go searching out the spot in the desert - it will not lead you to the money, but rather ABQ Studios where they film the show and many others. [+34° 59' 20.00", -106° 36' 52]
