Freddy's Day

Do not only is it finally Friday but its Friday the 13th for the superstitious types out there in the world. Watch out for this back cats, broken glass and walking under ladders.

More importantly be in the lookout for anyone that has a white hickey mask on and appears to be hastily walking in your direction with an agenda. You may not live in Elm street but it could still be Freddy Loki g for his next victim!

Layoffs

So earlier this week and up until yesterday we have been getting reports of people getting laid off at work. Holy shxt does that suck and I hate hearing news like that. I know several of those that were unfortunate enough to get a pink slip and I feel really bad for them. Especially those that have been at the company well over 12 years like Cicely and I have.

Oh well, it's nothing to dwell on and maybe there was more to it than meets the eye. Meaning a housecleaning of sorts to weed out the under performers. Not for me to say or judge, I just hope I am not on a list one day. I prefer to call my own shots when it comes to how long I will work somewhere - but don't we all feel that way?

Baby Store

Tonight we are going to Babies 'R Us to register and start picking out some of the things that we need to purchase before little Zoey comes into our lives. It's a lot of fun but stressful at the same time because there is so much to take care of in preparation for her.

Should be fun though and get us in the zone to start buying items. It will also give family and friends the opportunity to buy anything they choose although we would prefer they did not buy any of the bigger ticket items. We have those on the list only as a check-off list for ourselves.

Date

Supposed to have a lunch date with Cicely today at this new, sort of yuppy sandwich shop. I hope it works out because it will be fun and a nice change for us at lunch. We have eaten there a couple times already, always to-go and it's really good. Well with the exception of the coleslaw, it's horrid - more like onion and parsley soup!

Duck
