Labor Day

Today was a bit of a weird day to be honest. I did not do much of anything productive around the house or outside. Instead I pretty much grew roots into the couch and either played iPad games, watched shows with Cicely or researched RC helicopter parts, accessories and flying techniques.

Some would say that I wasted a perfectly good day off and maybe to them I did. Problem is, for me I think it was just what I needed to get the juices flowing and prepare me for the crazy ass days that I have ahead of me this week.

Ordering Like A Crazy Man

I did manage to put in about 10 or 15 orders online for various tools, accessories Nd related that I will be in need of when I get my new helicopter this week and start to build it soon. Thankfully almost everything was found either on eBay or at online stores that had free shipping, Labor Day discounts or a combination of those.

Most of it should be here by Friday and potentially all of it could arrive here that day. Might be a little bit crazy if so because it will give the impression that either UPS, USPS or both puked a bunch of packages in the mailbox and all over the doorstep - ha ha!

Ribs

Because we decided to skip the annual rib cook-off this year my dad and Cyndi ran back down today and picked me up some ribs, corn and potato salad for dinner. Oggy is a crazy kid when it comes to ribs so you know he was happy to see grandma and grandpa bring them through the door.

Night

Alright, calling it a night I guess. The 5 days off flew by like crazy and I honestly can't believe it's already over. Oh well it was really relaxing and much needed. I am sure I will need to take a few more days again here pretty soon. Not only to recover mentally but because I am nearly capped out once again on my time off and I do NOT like to give that up.

Anyway, time to watch some more Battlestar Galactica and enjoy the last bit of time before bed. I hope everyone had a great, safe Labor Day weekend.
