Today was a little drab just as yesterday, but not in the "did not get anything done department". We managed to get a little bit done with Cicely's room, packing some stuff up and getting together a box of things to donate. I was able to get a bunch of stuff moved out to the garage cabinets as well as some things out to the shed, the vault and so on but still have a really long way to go. Little by little we will eventually have Zoey's room cleared out and be ready to start building her little piece of the house to become the person she wants to be.
Lunch
Cicely's step-mom, my step-mom in-law called us today to make sure that we were going to be home so she could stop by and drop off some baby clothes! Holy cow is that awesome, and to our surprise she dropped off not only a ton of clothes but a really cute little gold miniature suitcase that we are going to use for her overnight bag - per grandma's request. How awesome is that you might ask? Pretty dam awesome if you ask me - thanks soooo much Kay!
On top of this she brought us Steak 'n Shake for lunch - hot dam, I don't know where she manages to find the time or the energy because I would like to know the secret. We really appreciated it and her along with Cicely's sisters stayed for just over an hour as well chatting which was great. We don't get to see everyone as much as we like to so it's great to have family stop by and see us. I am sure there will be more of a revolving door here once baby pops her cute little head out.
Weather
The rain finally stopped last night after we got back from dinner with dad and Cyndi for Cyndi's birthday dinner (which was really friggin' good by-the-way) thanks you guys! We are just getting spoiled left and right this weekend! Anyway, regarding the weather, it was actually really nice out today even though it was a tad breezy it was not even that annoying. Honestly it felt more like the weather just before spring hits rather than fall like we are quickly approaching. No matter, we had the windows open most of the day and it's so quiet out where we live that Oggy and I actually fell asleep on the couch for just over an hour.
Final Slice
Well it's time to call this quick entry done and finish up the last few things before the week is in our face again. At least it should be a fairly decent, aka quiet, week because most everyone will be done in Vegas at some point or another for our annual gaming show. We opted to not go because we have been so many times in the past and as I have mentioned, it's really tough to go down there only for 1 day and be able to see everything that we want to and have a little time to take a deep breath, get some food and take it all in.
Instead we will be kicking back on the couch watching the final episode of Dexter tonight and the second to final episode of Breaking Bad (which is 75 minutes!). I will be the first to admit that I am really bummed that Dexter will be gone for good as well as Breaking Bad but as they say, all good things in moderation and that they will eventually come to an end. Cant wait to see how they handle things in the final episode tonight - more on that tomorrow most likely.
Otherwise I hope your weekend was great - ours was nice just really packed and seemed like we had more to do per hour than hours in the day. Hence the use of "drab" yesterday. I should clarify that it was a great day, but drab in the way that we were not able to optimize the hours to the fullest. Oh well, not worth beating ourselves up!
