Wanna Be Lazy

We were up and out of bad today pretty early which was a good thing. Lots to do and sleeping in too late will only waste the valuable Sunday time that we have. Cicely started out day off by making us a killer home-made breakfast, complete with a healthy, yet amazing breakfast burrito, some steak fries (mostly for me because I dig 'em) and veggies on the side. So dam good that I was ready to conk out on the couch for an hour when my better judgement popped in and reminded me of all the things that I need to get done today.

Hobby Cases

I did manage to finally get online and order some of the aluminum style cases for my various helicopters and quadcopters. I never purchased them in the past because they are a little bit expensive for what they are and since I don't travel with them to flying fields or competitions it was always seen as a bit of overkill to me. Now that we have a storage shed and more room in the house I wanted a better way to store them so they don't get messed up. At the same time if I want to take them over to a friends and fly I can now without trying to figure out how to safely pack them up.

Chores

So as the title of the post suggests it is otherwise a jam packed day of chores. I have to change out all of the 9 volt batteries in the smoke alarms as I do annually, sometimes bi-annually. Then it was time for the furnace filter to be swapped out and the area vacuumed up.

Next I need to install the replacement parts that broke on our vertical blinds when we were painting the inside of the house a couple weeks back. I actually had to order the parts from 2 places, kinda sucks big-time to be honest. The first place I ordered from never does anything but send me out emails that my stuff is back ordered because its impossible to find.

Funny, the other place that I ordered from had them in stock (well the first place said they had 286 in stock - I only needed 4, but had to order 6 and they ultimately had ZERO in stock come to find out). Anyway, the place I ordered from second had them in stock and shipped them to me and in less than 3 days they were sitting in my hot little hands to be installed. Big thanks to fix my blinds, you guys rock! I plan to use you in the future as well as tell everyone about store should then be in the market for replacement parts, information and related.

Racing

Today is officially the season opener at the kart club that I used to race at. It is really weird to not be out there in the pits and on the track with everyone. What a blast those 8+ years of my life were and I would not give it up for anything. I learned so much about myself as well as my abilities and so on. I think it brought Cicely and I closer together and we were able to have the fuzzy kid out there with us as well which made every race that much more awesome. Good luck to everyone out there running today. I hope you all keep the rubber-side-down and have some wheel to wheel racing. The weather could not be more perfect either - lucky bastards!

Better Get To It

Ok I have been wasting enough time taking a break and getting today's entry typed. While the fresh air coming through the open windows makes me want to sit here on my ass for the remainder of the day, I know that it will only make me feel guilty come tomorrow morning when heading off to work, thinking about the things I should have gotten done and would have enjoyed doing. So on that note, have a great Sunday what ever it is you might be doing, and ease into your Monday!
