Corporate Life

After working in a small family-like company for just over 10 years and then moving on to my current position at a massive company in the corporate world I have come to realize even more than ever that it's more about who you know rather than what you know.

I realize this is an old saying and trend in business and obvious to many. It is still difficult to fully understand until the time comes that you are smack dab in the middle if it. You then have that "ah ha" moment.

I won't get into any details here as the issues don't directly affect me or my job, it's more of an observation, outside looking in on a desperate group trying to harvest fruit from a dead tree.

I think it's going to prove to be the making of a downhill spiral, loads of animosity and alliances being formed. I could be wrong, although my track record and ability to observe and predict is outstanding to put it bluntly - yes to pat myself on the back and admit it may seem a little arrogant to some; I say - deal with it.

Otherwise

Pretty much your average Tuesday on all other accounts. Early to rise, late to start but into it 100%. I don't see any fault in that. Be who you are today, not what someone expects you to be tomorrow and you then plan to change, it will be too late. People tend to not change but rather take the quickest path, so long as it's in parallel with the majority rule.

Photo: As much as it still resembles what it was, a dead tree produces no fruit
