More Work

Another day of what most would consider spring cleaning. The garage, parts of the house and the new storage shed look like a big mess but I guess that is to be expected in the interim of it all coming together and getting cleaned and straightened up.

Containers

Looks like we will have to make some more trips to Home Depot this weekend while we are out running other errands. You can never seem to predict exactly what you will need or want to use when it comes to organization. Most of the containers I bought are perfect but some are either way too small or just the opposite, way to big for the intended use. No reason to fill them up only a little if the intent is long term storage.

I want to have some that have common things in them that I need often. For example one that has all of the sprinkler parts and pieces I need every year when turning on the system. Same with the drip irrigation lines. It's nice to have them stored away in one spot for easy locating when they are needed for quick repairs. Otherwise we seem to assume we don't have what we need, end up at Home Depot only to buy more that we inadvertently store somewhere else and the problem goes on.

Artwork

Last night after the BBQ dinner that Cicely and Oggy went and picked up for us at BJ's BBQ in Sparks we watched a couple episodes of Eureka. I was too tired to watch Doctor Who so we will have that for today. Before though, we finally hung up the majority of the artwork that we have been putting off in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Next we just have to do all of the photos of us and the canvas of us from our wedding that my dad and step-mom had made for us. Feels good to have that done, for some reason it's super easy to put off nailing a few holes in the walls and putting up decorations. No good reason as to why though, but it's done now so that is sweet.

Flight Simulator

I managed to do a little more flying on the simulator again this morning for probably an hour or more. It was a better session and I was having a lot of fun. It's kinda crazy though, I tried this other helicopter rather than the one that I usually fly that is identical to the real world model that I have and I was flying it much better. It's a nitro one and much larger so I don't know if that helps to make it more stable or what, I would assume that would be the case. No matter I don't see me buying one like that anytime soon even if it is a little easier to fly. I was still crashing quite a bit and that would make for a super expensive hobby at this point in my learning, not to mention that the initial investment for one like that would be closer to 1k or more on the cheap side of things.

I will keep with my micro's and slightly larger ones as well as the AR.Drone and my quadcopters I have. They are all a blast to fly and should I get better over the coming months to years then I will be more prepared for something that is a larger scale and possibly nitro powered, although electric would be my first choice no matter the scale. Just cleaner and less upkeep.

Racing

I watched the Supercross race and was really bummed to hear that my rider, James Stewart is supposed to be out the remainder of the season after a crash last race messed up his wrist again. I assume it is the same one as before, well it was his hand that time, but similar. I think he is still recovering from a knee injury as well. Sucks big-time that he is out, but I look forward to seeing him return for the outdoor season.

I have not watched the NASCAR race yet. It's actually still recording as I write this entry. I have not been spending the time watching the entire race as I have in the past, not sure why honestly, I think it may simply be due to having so many other things that I want to do over the short weekends. I will probably do the usual and just fast-forward a lot of it at least until the last 50 or so laps and watch that. Kinda crappy to do so, but its better than not watching it at all and only the highlights on SPEED later today or tomorrow

Dinner

Decided to stop by dads house and hang out for a little while after picking up some wine they brought us back from a California winery trip this weekend. We were all pretty hungry so we decided it was a good time to head over to Olive Garden and get one of the new 2 meal specials. Buy one for tonight and order a second that you take home for dinner or lunch the next day. Sounds good to me, so that will be dinner and fun for the evening. Then back home to watch Doctor Who since we have yet to watch Friday's episode. Great way to cap off a great weekend that's for sure!

Out

That is all for today, sorry no real excitement to speak of. We would have probably been downtown at the earth day festivities if Cicely was selling her jewelry at the event but she decided not to. Probably a good choice since it will mostly be hippies and cheap peeps looking to do earth day stuff. That is fine, I just think it would have been a waste of her time with that crowd. For me its time to get back outside and work on the spring cleaning / shed filling / garage organization. I am still a little unsure of the way I want everything to be laid out, but I have to keep reminding myself that it will happen naturally as I add more stuff, use things and so on. Have a great Sunday!
