Commute
So anyone that knows me or reads my posts knows how much I despise only a few things in this life but there are 2 that will always remain on top - wind and minivans. Well today I was fortunate enough to enjoy both on the way into work and boy did that make for an interesting drive. At the same time it's a great opportunity to work on anger management and I think I did exceptional.
For starters minivan drivers have a hard enough time staying in their lanes while cooking breakfast, doing laundry, texting, yelling at the 10
The bigger issue is that the roads were just a tad damp from the unexpected snowfall. No ice or mounds of slush, just a slight sneeze leftover from the snow that came down hours earlier. This causes the minivans to drive even more crappy - something I never thought possible to be honest - but it happens each and every time without missing a beat. Sure, they are proud of themselves for having the ability to have coitus and get pregnant enough times to fill up these little buses with their offspring. I mean it's obvious to anyone within a few car lengths back because of the enormous amount of "family decals" on the rear window blocking any chance of a safe lane change.
Ahh the family decals - whomever came up with those is a friggin' marketing genius and I am jealous that I did not think of it first - hats off to you! I mean what an American way to make a killer profit off of the poor judgement of others, not all, just a good majority. These decals are placed almost like trophies on a shelf showing all of the success of the family. Let's see, Mom, Dad, 5 boy decals, 5 girl decals, 3 cats, 2 dogs and a few other characters kneeling down at the base of a cross so you don't assume this little bus of happiness is not doing everything they should for "HIM". Wow, you are living the dream I tell ya'. I guess part of what gets under my skin is that I am almost certain I am paying for many of your kids, that stupid minivan and the huge house you defaulted on because you overspent and at the same time could not keep your legs together or put on a rubber!
Whew ok, time to stop that rant or this will go on for hours! I guess my point is, I really hope all of the minivans took an early-out from their place of business to pick up the kids, cats and dogs and get home before my commute home. That is all I am asking for today, and don't get me wrong the wind is welcome to blow as much as it wants as I realize I cant all have everything I want, or can I?
Blink
Yea I think I had better stop this post for the day before I get on some other soapbox that I will regret many years from now cruising around in my own minivan collecting newspapers and magazines. Umm yea, not gonna happen - ever! Enjoy your Tuesday, I plan to....
