Production Line

It's Saturday and both Cicely and I were up early and getting stuff done. I was getting a fresh pot of coffee done and she was staring on making some jewelry for the day for her big and exciting jewelry line that goes live this Wednesday. She cant wait but I know she is super nervous, I would be as well but I know that she will do great!

Workin' For The Wife

So I promised to help out with many aspects of the new lineup for Cicely and one of them was stamping her logo onto the ring bases that go to various ring tops that she makes by hand, all from custom molds, resin, Swarovski toppings and so on. Everything is made to look like sweets and you really have to stop yourself from wanting to see if it has a candy smell or taste. Trust me I am not the only one, most think then say the same thing.

Anyway I had no idea what I was getting myself into as she laid down the huge bag of parts in need of a logo stamp. Honestly though it was not that bad and went pretty fast, well until I found out that I had only started on the first bag of 3 and they still needed to have this edge put on them as well, again pretty much all by hand. No worries, I have some ideas up my sleeve for that as well to make it faster, more accurate and keep the quality high for every piece.

Breaks Nearly Over

On that note, I think I better end my entry here before the whistle blows and I am late getting back to my little workstation that I setup in the garage for this. The nice part about the job is that it's the first one I have ever worked at where I can freely drink beer on the clock - working for you wife, even if on the weekend does in fact have its benefits after-all!

Enjoy your Saturday, and if you are feeling a little bored come on over. I would be more than happy to put you to work right away and keep you busy well into the night!
