If you have never been in a state like this then I say don't make it a priority. It happens to me every few months, usually because of alcohol but not this time, this time I have no idea the culprit.
Usually it begins with me waking from a nice deep sleep with a pounding headache and I am sweating like crazy. This can lead into shivers while hot, but showing a low temperature. Sometimes throwing up and those sorts of things. Walking around makes it better until it runs its course, generally 4 - 6 hours. One done I am usually exhausted.
This brings us to today, 4 - 6 hours later and I am exhausted for sure and still don't feel 100%. I plan to still hit the gym today as it usually helps me feel better as long as I take it easy. Otherwise I plan to just get through this day, focus and get some game development done - maybe a little packing up my stuff for the studio move. Basically doing what I can to get through the day on a positive note and make tomorrow better.
Work News
Well it looks as though another long term developer in my studio is leaving the company to explore other opportunities that have come his way. Charles S. was a really good guy to work with and a lot of fun to not work with as well, ha ha. I can only wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors and I hope the future holds nothing but the best for him and his family! Thanks for all of the years helping me to battle others in our group when a Nerf gun war broke out, or putting in the late nights to get a project wrapped up. It was always a great time, you will be missed!
Historical
If you want breaking news this is not the place to find it, I am merely mentioning the 2 explosions that just happened today at the finish line of the Boston Marathon for my own historical purposes. I have heard rumors of a 3rd explosion but only on twitter and related, nothing on any of the big stations. So far they have reported no casualties, but many spectators are being attended to. Everything from bloody heads, missing limbs and related. No idea yet who or why it was done.
There is of course already speculation that because there are people from Sandy Hook running in the race as a memento to the tragedy this was the reason behind the explosions. Unfortunately you never really know. It's extremely unfortunate to hear news like this, and it's even more unfortunate that it's going to be used in some weird way as propaganda fuel to propel the gun bans and stricter background checks that are tucked under a meaningless bill that goes by the name of Safe Schools and Communities Act of 2013. Yep nice wording there peeps, so it makes those that don't believe in banning our rights look like they don't want safe schools and communities. Isn't that convenient!
Flush
With that I am sorry to say that will be it for today. On the bright side the weather is warm but chilly so it's fitting to wear some favorite shorts and hoody which will help to make the day that much more bearable and enjoyable until my body can recover.
To everyone else I hope you have rolled into the start of your week "butter side up" unlike the hand I was dealt. Have a good one!
