Sneaky

Early start today getting into the game studio for a weekly meeting on one of my 3 games. Kinda how the rest of this weeks mornings are looking as well. This afternoon we have an all-hands meeting as well. No idea what may be "going down" this time though. Hopefully just updates from innovation week, performance and market-share statistics as well as general happenings. Really I don't really feel like dealing with change, but I will - I am stubborn like that.

Studio All-Hands Meeting Update

Well it looks like the leaders of my game studio are doing some crazy stuff again, although I can't say that it's actually not for the greater good because in reality it will make things more cohesive and productive. It's more the fact that it's more change coming our way once again just as everyone has settled in and is working away.

Ahh, such is life I suppose - you have to learn to roll with the punches I guess as I am not one to lay down and give up on something worthwhile. While I wont cant really divulge the changes here in my blog, namely to be on the safe-side, I will hope that it does in fact make my studio stronger and more profitable in the long run.

Apologies for the vague paragraph, but it needs to be that way. I need this more for a future reminder as I look back on my history and recall events like this. Unfortunately it does not make for very interesting reading on the outside looking in.

Dinner

Being a little sneaky tonight and taking Cicely to an early birthday dinner tonight. She does not know it but we are meeting my dad and step-mom at the restaurant as well. It was actually my step-moms idea so I cannot take the credit for it, but I am the one that is trying to get her but out of work today so we do not show up late. I am a little nervous because she has a hair appointment this afternoon and they generally last a few hours, so we may be cutting it close - but that will just have to be part of the fun I suppose.

Cash Out

Time to call it an entry and move along with the day. Super busy and after a crazy-ass day yesterday I am not going to let the day get away from me 2 days in a row. Yesterday pretty much sucked because I was being pulled so many directions. It's alright though, I just went home and played with the fuzzy kid, strummed some songs on my bass guitar and had a beer while Cicely made us a killer dinner that consisted of salmon, mashed sweet potatoes, artichokes and wild rice - yum!
